Application of Sealant
Provide and apply approved sealant to the external periphery of the aluminium
framed windows as shown in the Drawings and ensure that all joints are sealed
water tight and finished to a neat flush joint with the window frame. The
application of sealant shall comply with the manufacturer's guides and
instructions.
All sealant applicators shall possess a minimum of one year working experience
on sealing works endorsed by the sealant suppliers in the HDB List of Approved
Materials And Suppliers. A list of these workers shall be submitted to the SO

factory pre-packed dry mixed mortar screed shall only be used for the floor screed.
The pre-packed mortar must be mechanically mixed with the right amount of water
specified by the manufacturer. The Contractor shall arrange with the SO Rep for
checking that screed is not hollow and floor screed is level (can allow a tolerance of
up to 3mm difference in level for every 3m) before timber strip floor laying can
properly commence. Completed screed must be allowed to cure and dry for a
minimum of 14 days and there shall be no shrinkage or crack prior to the installation
of timber flooring. Minimum thickness of screed shall be 15mm or as shown in the

with all debris, sand and saw dust removed. Suitable fillers must be used if there are
imperfections. Either water or oil based fillers can be used provided they are
sufficiently dried (at least overnight) before application. The floor shall be finished
with three coats of varnish to SO Reps approval. Between each coating, the timber
strip flooring shall be sanded to remove any unevenness and thoroughly cleaned
before the application of further coats. The varnished paint shall be prepared by
adding hardener to the base while stirring and the mixture must be stirred
