subcontractors J.Ray McDermott & VSP, to carry out detailed engineering, procurement,
fabrication, installation, hook-up and commissioning for one 4-pile/ 12-slot Wellhead
Platform, three infield pipelines 24, 16 & 10 and a composite power/ fiber optic
submarine cable at Block 15-1 offshore Vietnam. The jacket is 1200MT, the topsides is
2000MT. There are a lot of interfaces because of many parties involved on the project,
several administrative works, and several work locations.

Procurement, Construction, Pre-commissioning, Loadout, Transportation,

Fabrication of Lan Tay Compression Module project.

Project description: The purpose of the project is to increase the gas throughput at the
Nam Con Son gas field from 10.08 MMSm3/d to 15 MMSm3/d. Scope of work is
provisions of fabrication engineering, procurement, fabrication and loadout of one
1850MT Compression Module. The module consists of single lift gas Compressor
Module that contains three decks, one lifting frame, two gas driven Compressors, two
Turbines, two Coolers and two Suction Scrubbers. It was successfully loaded out on 25 th
June 2007 and installed offshore on 12th August 2007.
In addition to the above scope, PTSC M&C also carried out the onshore prefabrication
and offshore installation for Tie-in and Hook-up and Brownfield works.

The project was fabrication, pre-commissioning, loadout and
transportation of 650-metric ton C1 Wellheads topside and 535-metric ton CLPP Central
Liquid Processing Platforms, and 90-metric ton NBR3 Bridge.
Below were my duties & responsibilities during the life of the project:
- Reviewed all AFC piping drawings delivered by JVPC.

Checked all piping isometric shop-drawings, cutting sheets, and pipe support
fabrication drawings, which were prepared by Piping Draftsmen.
Prepared detailed and consolidated Piping MTOs for C1 &CLPP Decks, and
NBR3 Bridge based on the AFC drawings issued by MES Engineering
Contractor.
Coordinated with JVPC Construction Superintendent and JVPC Piping Site
Team. Issued Piping & Mechanical Technical Site Queries, if required, to clear
any issues/problems that had been arisen during the project phase.
Controlled all project Piping & Mechanical activities and managed all the
Piping/Mechanical Supervisors and Foremen to ensure that the Piping &
Mechanical works were completed on time and with the best quality.
Prepared all the Mechanical Completion Inspection & Test Records (ITR) and
controlled the ITR implementation by the Pre-commissioning Engineer.
Noted all the Minutes of Weekly and Monthly Construction Progress Meetings
and followed up the actions related to Piping & Mechanical disciplines.
Assisted the Project Planning Engineer in preparing all the Weekly & Monthly

The project was to install a gas-lift system for the existing Ruby A
wellhead platform for Petronas Carigali Vietnam Limited. I was responsible for, but not
limited to, the following activities:
- Allocated piping works to appropriate persons and controlled such works to
ensure that they were on right tracks.
- Reviewed post AFC piping plans, piping isometric drawings that were issued
by MMC Engineering sub-contractor. Checked the consistency between
isometric drawings and P&IDs.
- Checked all isometric shop-drawings and pipe support fabrication drawings
prepared by piping engineers/ piping draftsmen.
- Prepared the Piping MTO inclusive of pipe supports.
- Coordinated with the Engineering sub-contractor to sort out all the piping
issues that had been raised by the Offshore HUC Sub-Contractor (Shapadu).
