Hello
I've a problem on Granular Recovery Extension for Microsoft Exchange Server.
I backup the exchange database, and now on the client I want to test Recovery Sessions.

But when I whant log on I've this message and I don't know how to solved this :
Userdoesnothaverequiredroles
Usershouldbememberofthefollowingroles/groups:
1.OrganisationManagement
2.DiscoveryManagement
3.MailboxImportExport
But Administrator and an another users are in these three groups
So if you have an idea to help me ?

According to the Exchange GRE Integration Guide, when you log into a Server to do a GRE Restore, the user that you are
logging in as must have these roles assigned:
DisasterRecovery
Database

I could find nothing in how to assign these roles to a User, but, this is the responsibility of the Exchange Administrator

I have the same problem with DP8.0 and Exchange 2013.

Already logged a case at HP support but after 2 weeks still no succes.
Did you already solve the problem ???

Hi,
the trick is you need to open administrative OWA and assign the features to the GRE User. If not done so far, you might create
a role before and add the features required by GRE to this role.

Your exchange administrator should know how to do that. Once this has been configured, the GRE will run without problems.
Please keep in mind to install the GUI on the server where GRE should run. Keep in mind too, that it might be required to
configure impersonation.

Hi,
suffering from same problem here.

In the GRE logs the message is clear: GRE_MAILBOX_IMPORT_EXPORT_ROLE_MISSING
But the user has all the permissions/roles.

It seems GRE User needs to be assigned the role directly. If the "Mailbox Import Export" Role is inherited form a group this does
not work. It is also documented by HP Support.....

I have installed DP 8.0 and added GRE license for Exchange Server 2013.

I have installed all the integration components and assigned roles to GRE user. Same GRE user account is being used for inet
service on Exchange Server.
As far as I know, GRE is integrated on the Exchange console on 2010 version.

But now Exchange Server 2013 console (EMC)has switched to Web inteface - Exchange Admin Center.
My question is how to integrate GRE on Exchange 2013 Web console to perform restore. Does GRE support Exchange 2013 or
is there an additional plugin just like vmware plugin?

Hi,
GRE is installed / started as a separate program on the Exchange server. Once you install the component on the server you
should have a start menu item refering to it....

Hi,
i have the sane Problem with GRE Plugin.
I create a new User called "GRE" and take him to the groups "OrganizationManagement" and "DiscoveryManagement".
Also I asigned die Role " Mailbox Import Export" directly to the User New-ManagementRoleAssignment-Role"MailboxImport

In the GRE logs i found "Error setting admin credentials, GreReturnCode = EXCHG_USER_INCOMPLETE_PERMS"
Ich have installed DP 8.1

Plugin Version 8.10.157.1405
Has anybody an idea how to get access?

Im also having the same issue-

Have a case open for almost 1.5-2months now.
We've already updated all the DC's to .net 4.0 per their suggestion and still did not work.
Already tried assigning roles directly so they are not inherited and that did not work.

Exchange inetgration was built using :NET 3.5 for this reason is mandatory to have it installed. Upgrade .NET 4.0 will not
resolve teh issue.

In fact the issue is coming from Microsoft side when GRE try to check rights against AD get error message
0x5011
Please check below Microsoft KB
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/969166/en-us
If you make a google search using this string "active directory 0x5011" you will be able to see dozens of links with the same
issue using differents tools.
Please install hotfix provided from Microsoft if issue still remain after that contact with Microsoft support.
