Major Hazards and Impact of Saplapur Union.

Hazard
Flood, flash flood, Cyclone and Tidal surge:
People do not have easy access to cyclone shelter and
hygienic sanitation facilities.

Impact:
Raised intervention shall ensure safe access to shelter
during flood, Flash Flood, Cyclone and Tidal surge
events.

Rational for the Maintenance of Cyclone shelter

This is the Existing Cyclone shelter which was constructed
by the Gono Sashtha Kendra in 1991 after the devastating
Super Cyclone.
After construction no maintenance have been done by any
GO and NGO authority.
Presently condition of the shelter is not good enough.
Mainly toilet is un useable, some door, window, plaster,
drop wall, lime-tressing, floor, color is found damaged.
No water supply system is exist in the shelter.
If any initiative for maintenance is not taken for this
shelter immediately then with in short time this structure
will be totally un useable.
