Participated in staff story meetings; wrote numerous blogs, and a full-length feature about gun control on college campuses. Chosen as team leader for internship-long assignment; led team in conceptualizing a mobile application to drive traffic to the site and inspire millennials to take part in social action. CALIFORNIA SCHOLASTIC PRESS ASSOCIATION (July 2012 2015) Journalism Workshop Instructor Co-taught two courses in 2015: one on making a podcast, and the other on live-tweeting, with Mashable digital entertainment reporter Saba Hamedy. Led a course on how to cover a public meeting alongside Los Angeles Times transportation reporter Laura Nelson in 2014. CSPA is a two-week journalism workshop for high school journalists. Participated as a student in 2012, covered 35 writing assignments; returned to the program as a counselor in 2013 and as a teaching assistant for the last two years.
