ThyssenKrupp Linear Vibrating Screens Type DU

Advanced, robust and economic
The latest generation of type
DU linear vibrating screens with
double unbalance drive unit
provides screening areas with
widths and lengths ranging
from 800 to 5,500 mm
and 2,000 to 12,000 mm,
respectively.
The screens are able to handle
the increasing feed rates and
meet the versatile requirements
inherent to primary screening,
sizing, dewatering, depulping
and deslurrying of bulk materials
such as hard rock,
limestone, gravel, coal, ore, oil
sand and salt advanced
screening equipment from
ThyssenKrupp.

Advantages:
infinitely variable
Constant
stroke
overall height owing to
Low
the horizontal arrangement
of assemblies
Optionally with bottom or
top drive unit
Optimum adaptation to the
particular screening job by
changing the angle of throw
Quick change of the drive
unit
Replacement service for the
ThyssenKrupp double
unbalance drive units

Exactly adjusting machines to

meet the appropriate
requirements and assembly
conditions optimizes the
screening result.
The linear vibrations are
produced by double unbalance
drive units made by
ThyssenKrupp.

Design Characteristics

Through their advanced, robust

and versatile design,
ThyssenKrupp linear vibrating
screens offer optimal solutions to
the most difficult problems.
Depending on the application,
the body of the screen and the
principal assemblies such as side
walls, supporting system and
cross member are either screwed
or HUCK bolted, the machine
design allowing screen coverings
of different manufacturers to be
used.
Customers can choose between
transversely tensioned perforated
plates, bolted thick perforated
plates, bar grates, transversely or
longitudinally tensioned woven
wire, rubber and plastic coverings.
Plug-in systems for welded wedge
wire screens and for rubber,
plastic, perforated plate or woven
wire screen coverings are
available.

Design documents are

exclusively prepared on CAD
systems (Fig. 3).
Assemblies are dimensioned on
the basis of a finite element
analysis (Fig. 4) and on test
bench vibration measurements
taken during the test run.

Sturdy helical springs and rubber

buffers are used to isolate the
vibration.
If needed, an additional
anti-vibration frame can be used
to decrease forces acting on the
foundation.

Grizzly-type primary screen

Grizzly-type screens for lumpy

material are used as primary
screens and feeding devices
upstream of crushers and mills
as well as for coarse screening
operations. Depending on the
application, they are equipped
with a conveyor floor and an
anti-vibration frame and can be
provided as single-deck and
double-deck screens.

Sizing Screens

One of the most diverse tasks

of mechanical processing of
bulk materials is the sizing by
means of screens.
The standardized system of
assemblies allows screen
widths of up to 3 ,200 mm
and screen lengths of up to
9 ,000 mm to be adopted in
single-deck and multiple-deck
screens for dry and wet sizing
operations.
A special screen called the
banana screen is used for a
low-bed of large feed
quantities. Depending on the
specified application, different
designs of tensioned and flat
screen coverings made of
different materials offer an
optimal solution for screening
granular bulk materials.

through a non-vibrating V-belt

allows resonance speeds to be
