HOT TIP
Photocopy the above. Choose 5 numbers and mark them off
over the 9 games, to see what Divisions you would have won.
Do this several times to get a feel for the Results the System
will give you.
Also, try it to see what happens if you only have 3 or 4 winning
numbers. This System is VERY effective for delivering
results if you only have 3 or 4 winning numbers. This is an
important consideration - because most weeks 3 or 4 numbers
is all you will have. Check how many winners you get from
just three winning numbers (most computer systems are built
for MINIMUM GAMES - We build ours for a MIX OF
MINIMUM GAMES AND MAXIMUM RESULTS. Test,
Test, Test any lottery system you consider using.
Do this for any Lottery System you consider using Get a "feel" for what the System can and cannot do.

THE REAL TRUTH ABOUT LOTTERY ODDS

The Truth about Lottery Odds convinced us to change the way we
play. Dramatically. It will almost certainly convince you to do the same.
To illustrate why, we use the USA Power Ball game as an example, but
you will soon see the arguments apply to any Lottery game, 5-ball or 6ball.
The odds of getting the first 5 numbers in the 53-number USA Powerball
game are 1-in-2,869,685. The odds of getting the first 5 numbers and the
Power Ball are 1-in-120,526,770. That's the Truth but not the
WHOLE Truth!
If First Prize is $10 Million, the odds are 1-in-120,526,770. If First Prize is
$100 Million, the odds are STILL 1-in-120,526,770 - but now the reward
is 10 times greater. So, are Odds the perfect measure? We think not. Does
it matter ? We think so.
You see, that 1-in-120,526,770 relates to buying ONE game. If you buy
10 games, your odds of winning First Prize are now 1-in-12,052,677. If
you buy 100 games, your odds of winning First Prize fall to 1-in1,205,268.
Using the info in the two paragraphs above, you can make a Quantum
Leap in your Playing Strategy.
Let's, for example, suppose you budget $20 a week as your lotto money.
To keep it simple, we will assume your lottery starts at $10 Million and
increases every week by $5 Million. It goes for 10 weeks without being
won. If you are like 99% of lotto players, the table over the page represents
your playing strategy (or lack of it!).

Your total Investment over ten weeks is still $200 - but the odds have
varied dramatically from week-to-week. Under the old system, the odds
were 1-in-6,026,338 every week. Under the new system, the odds are
much higher while the prize is peanuts - but much lower as First Prize
climbs. On the 10th week, your odds are THREE times better at 1-in2,008,780 than they were when playing $20 every week.

Page 11

THE MYTHS SURROUNDING "LOTTO SYSTEMS"

"Playing a System Entry Increases Your Chances of Winning."
True . But not the WHOLE Truth.
Playing a System 10 requires paying for 252 games. Of course you
increase your chances of winning by 252 times (over a single game).
But the advantage is from playing 252 games - however you play those
games.
If you play 252 random games, or even Auto-Pick games, your odds

of winning are 1-in-478,281 (120,526,770 divided by 252).

If you play the 252 games in a System 10, your odds of winning are

still 1-in-478,281 (120,526,770 divided by 252).

If you play 252 games in an organized systematical way, your odds

of winning are still 1-in-478,281 (120,526,770 divided by 252).

However, there are some tactical advantages & disadvantages to
consider in those three choices.
First, Random or Auto-Pick entries have no guarantee whatsoever, other
than a 1-in-478,281 chance of winning.
The big advantage of a System Entry is that it maximizes the number
of prizes you win. But, whether you play a System 8 or a System 20
there is only ONE First Prize in there. All the additional Prizes are in the
lower divisions. And it is still a CONDITIONAL guarantee - you win IF
you trap the winning numbers, but you could end up without a single
winning number.
The big advantage of the Organized, Systematical entries that
LottoMasta promotes is that it guarantees a Prize of some kind.
Play 2 of the 110-game entries we recommend - and your 220 games
guarantee several small prizes. Toss in 32 additional games and you have
exactly the same chance of First Prize as a System 10 entry - 252 chancesin-120,526,770.
Copyright LottoMasta International 2003

www.lottomasta.com

Power Ball Strategies

Page 12

The big advantage is that 1 or more games in each 110-game set is 40% or
better on the way to First Prize; you are absolutely guaranteed 2, 3, 4, or
all 5 winning numbers from playing all 53 numbers in a mathematical
matrix that gives a guaranteed result.
Also, those 252 organized games mean you can use all 42 Power Balls 6
times - with a System 10, you get just one Power Ball. So, if you are
organized and play 42 Power Balls 6 times, you collect $18 from getting
the Power Ball correct 6 times. You also collect from having Two or more
winning numbers correct at least twice. Since the system we supply uses all
53 numbers, you have done everything possible to maximize your chances.
Of course, 252 games every week is out, unless you are playing in a
Group. So, what Strategy should you adopt? We suggest one of these
approaches.
The first is for playing alone. We recommend the "What Works Eight
Weeks out of Ten" approach. This can start as low as 9 games and build
in sets of 9 games, making it ideal for starting low and building up as First
Prize increases. The forms provided are child's play to use and keep you
in the "Smart-Play Zones."
The second is for playing in a Group Entry. Our 110-game entry
guarantees 2, 3, 4 or all 5 numbers together, often more than once, and
guarantees you get the Power Ball at least twice. By playing all 53
numbers you make sure you have all the winners somewhere in your
entry, all organized in the best possible way. This approach is ideal for a
small group.
When the First Prize has jackpotted / Rolled-Over to astronomical
proportions, we recommend moving up to the 1325-game entry that
guarantees Three or more of the first Five winning numbers.
What are your chances of Four winning numbers ? We guarantee Three
winning numbers together. There are 2 winning numbers left in the
remaining 50 balls - So your chances are 2-in-50 or 1-in-25.
The chances of that all-important Fifth ball are then 1-in-49. Agreed, you
still have to get the power ball, but knowing you have 60% or more of
the first 5 winning numbers before a ball is even drawn - that's not a
bad starting position!
Copyright LottoMasta International 2003

www.lottomasta.com

Power Ball Strategies

Page 13

This 1325-game entry demands serious organization. You may need 40-50
members to get the funding together. This needs to be in place well before
you need it.
A little trick we use can help you. We pay out all wins from our weekly
lottery entry that are over $500, but winnings under that go into a separate
bank account to mount larger campaigns as First Prize grows.
The final choice is using lottery software or lotto books to create
multiple reduced-guarantee lotto systems. With 53 numbers - for
example - you could have three sets of eighteen numbers (one number
played twice).
The advantage here is that if you get all the winning numbers in one set of
18 numbers, the odds of First Prize are much higher than playing 53
numbers together. If your lottery only has 36 balls, 2 sets of 18 numbers
guarantees a prize (your worst split is 3 balls / 2 balls - and your best
5 balls / 0 balls!)
A second advantage is controlling the cost. Most lottery software would
have several systems for 18 numbers, one of which should fit your budget.
Of course, 3 sets of 18 numbers is just one example. Four sets of 14
numbers equals 52 numbers, allowing you to play all but one of the 53
numbers in the USA Powerball game.
Whether you are playing a game with 25 numbers, 53 numbers or anything
in between, you can adapt this strategy to fit your lottery and budget.
This book outlines the above strategy in more detail and has over 20
systems that can be used with any 5-ball game. Some examples of the
games required for various guarantees are shown over the page -

POWERBALL-MAGIC The Secrets of how Powerball & Pick-5 Games work!

By modelling what actually happens in Powerball /

Mega Millions / Pick-5 Draws,
you can significantly improve your chances.
Which is fine IF you KNOW what actually happens in Powerball Draws.
Most people have no idea. They complain about working 50, 60, even 80
hours a week to make ends meet - but refuse to take even an hour to find
out how Powerball works. The arguments below are based on the
Australian Powerball game - but the comments apply to any game.
Powerball is quite different to a normal Lottery game. Oz Lotto, Saturday
Lotto or any other 45-ball Lottery has 8,156,060 games. Australian
Powerball - with 45 numbers in barrel one - has odds of 1,221,759-to-1 for
five numbers from barrel one. However, since these 1,221,759
combinations can be matched with any of the 45 possible Powerballs, the
odds of First Prize in Powerball are 1,221,759 x 45 - or odds of
54,979,155-to-1!
Since the vast majority of people can't beat the odds of Eight Million to
one for a normal Lottery - What chance is there of beating odds of FIFTY
FIVE MILLION to one for Powerball?
However, Australian Powerball does have some redeeming features. The
most important is that it is almost SEVEN TIMES EASIER to get 5
numbers from 45 than it is to get 6 numbers from 45. The second
advantage is that it has SEVEN winning Divisions.
We will give you tips for picking the Powerball - BUT - YOUR FOCUS
SHOULD BE ON GETTING THE MAIN FIVE NUMBERS. This pays
well and if you get the Powerball also, that is a bonus.
In this Chapter, we will teach you about -

Ball Positioning - What limits does each ball drawn fall between.
Calculated over the last 200 draws and given for 100% of draws,
90% of draws and 80% of draws. How this can reduce the odds.

What you would find if you wrote out every single combination
in Powerball - and how that can help you to reduce the odds
(There are 1,221,759 5-number combinations).

Forms for creating future Powerball Profiles - both manually &

computerised (we give you the historic ones).

SECTION ONE - BALL POSITION ANALYSIS

What is Ball Position Analysis ? And how does it help you ?
We look at what numbers have been drawn for the lowest ball, the secondlowest ball, and so on - giving you absolute 100% values, a narrower range
for 90% of draws, and an even narrower range covering 80% of draws. To
cover all 200 draws involves quite wide ranges - 1 to 34 for ball one. You
can cover 160 of the 200 draws (80%) with numbers between 1 and eleven
for ball one, and so on.
This saves you playing game-types that have rarely won in the last 200
draws. So, let's create our limits for playing sensible games. The choice is
yours - use the range for 80% or 90% - or set your own limits, eg 1 to 15
for ball one.

games that had either three-odd or three-even numbers (ie, 3/2 Odd-Even
or 2/3 Odd-Even), the combinations left fall to 230,934. This is a
reduction of almost ONE MILLION combinations on the 1,221,759 total
combinations possible.
And what have we done to achieve this?
Restricted the range of balls 1-5 to those that come out 80% of the

time - ie, 8-weeks-out-of-10, ditching those that come out only 2weeks-in-10. For such a significant reduction in the odds, you can
afford to be wrong twice in every ten weeks.
No consecutive numbers come out 61% of weeks played - or better

than one week in two. If "No consecutive numbers" had not been out
for 3-4 weeks, it's a chance I would take.
Three-odd / Two even or Two-odd / Three even come out, on

average, 65% of the time - roughly two-weeks-in-three. Those odds

are good enough for me to concentrate on playing only 2/3-odd, 2/3
even.

SMART-PLAY ZONE - As you can see, two of these combinations

account for OVER 65% of all possible combinations - both in theory and
in practice. Put another way, two weeks out of three the winning
numbers should fall into this pattern, in theory. The remaining four
patterns total only 35% of the combinations. I personally play only 2-3 or
3-2 unless 1-4 or 4-1 is long overdue to come out. Over the last 200
draws, playing only 2-3 or 3-2 would have been correct 131 times out of
200 - both in theory and practice.

SMART-PLAY ZONE - Again, two of these combinations account for

65% of all possible combinations. Note also that excluding all-highs and
all-lows accounts for 95% of all combinations. There are winning weeks
with all low numbers or all high numbers - but do you want to play in the
5% zone or the 95% zone? In the 35% zone or the 65% zone? The great
thing about having this level of knowledge is you can start to make
informed choices, instead of leaving absolutely everything to Lady
Luck.

SMART-PLAY ZONE - Note that over 60% of combinations have no

consecutive numbers. Add combinations that only have two consecutives
and you cover 94.5% of all combinations in theory, 93.5% in practice.
Looked at in terms of what you might expect in practice - nine weeks out of
ten you can expect the winning numbers to either have no consecutive
numbers or only two. Again, I am not saying you can't have three
consecutive numbers in the winning numbers - but that is the 3% zone.
Negative people who want to run down scientific methods of playing Lotto
or Powerball are quick to point out that four consecutive numbers has
already been out. That's true - just ONCE in 200 draws. I can live with that
kind of failure rate.

SMART-PLAY ZONE - The 87% Zone! The top two game-types

account for 87% of winners! Remember, there is only 1 of the 1,221,759
combinations that can be a complete repeat of last week's draw. Make sure
none of your games have more than one of last week's numbers. Play in
the 87% zone!
Note that if you chose to play only game-types that had NO numbers
repeated from the previous week, you would have been correct 108 times
in the last 200 draws - AND YOU HAVE REDUCED THE GAME TO A

If you keep tables like those on pages 9-11 you may well improve on a

SMART-PLAY ZONE - The top TWO game-types account for 87% of

all winners. If you want to play games like 5-15-25-35-45 - give your
money straight to the Salvo's; at least you will know it did some good.
You can significantly improve your chances by understanding these
statistics. It's like the golfer or tennis player who plays the percentage
shots - in Powerball there are high percentage plays and low percentage
plays. People who play Powerball with no knowledge whatsoever are
trusting to blind luck - a bit like playing golf blindfold!

The argument is frequently raised that, for Powerball, there is

no way you can forecast anything because anything is
possible. My argument is that, while anything certainly is
possible, some things are far more probable than others.

Copyright LottoMasta International 2003

www.lottomasta.com

Power Ball Strategies

Page 25

For example, no Powerball game has yet drawn five consecutive numbers. It
is perfectly possible that five consecutive numbers will be drawn next week.
BUT - do you want to put your money on that probability?
Or do you want to bet that five consecutive numbers will not be drawn?
My argument is that an entry that is balanced in terms of short-term
trends, playing as many numbers as possible in a highly organised,
mathematically-precise, manner, is the most logical way to play. In other
Lessons, we show you exactly how to play in a highly organised,
mathematically -precise, manner (see Lesson 2 in particular).
Also, note the implications of 3-odd/2-even plus 2-odd/3-even
equalling 65.4% of all combinations. It means that such a result can
be expected, on average, two weeks out of every three. Note that the
actual results bear this theory out (58 + 73 = 131 out of 200 draws). The
same applies to highs and lows. It is worth setting up a manual database, if
you do not have a computer, that at least identifies odds and evens and
highs and lows. An example is shown at the end of this chapter.
If you notice that either odds or evens or highs and lows have gone four or
more weeks without a 3+2 (or 2+3), it might worth concentrating on that
until it does hit.
OTHER EXAMPLES

20% - Expect, on average, 1-week-in-5

25% - Expect, on average, 1-week-in-4
33% - Expect, on average, 1-week-in-3
50% - Expect, on average, 1-week-in-2

Follow these SHORT-TERM trends and you might spot long overdue runs that
are worth following. All five numbers being non-consecutive, for example,
should happen (in theory) six weeks out of ten. If it has not been out for four
weeks, I would back it until it did come out.

Page 26

LONG-TERM AND SHORT-TERM CONSIDERATIONS

By now you should have recognised that :
Some trends are Short-Term, eg, How many weeks between Draws
that have, for example, no consecutive numbers and
Some trends are more Long-Term, ie, the frequency of individual
numbers. These are very difficult to predict.
It is a little like playing a roulette wheel. Backing Odd or Even gets you
very low odds because both come out so often. Back individual numbers
and you get the longest odds, because they come out far less frequently
(compared to Odd or Even).
In Powerball, players tend to follow numbers - but

Very few people follow Short-Term trends.

Perhaps you should become one of them.

We don't pretend that our ideas are a magic bullet that will win First
Prize every week. If you expected that for $30 - may the tooth fairy
continue to visit and I hope no-one tells you the truth about Father
Christmas.
What you CAN expect are significant improvements on the results
you are currently getting.

THE POWERBALL ITSELF

We suggest you use the following table. It gives you TWO short-term
trend possibilities. First, is it an odd or an even that is more likely? For
examples, six odds in a row would cause me to back even in the next draw.
If odds and evens are balanced, I would look for sets of 15. If the
Powerball had not come from the 16-30 group for six draws, I would back
that group. If the Powerball had not come from the 16-30 group for six
draws and there had not been an odd for 6 draws, I would back 17, 19, 21,
23, 25, 27 and 29 (I would then play all of them, although you might prefer
to pick just one). It still leaves you with 7 Powerballs but that is a big
reduction from 45. Another option is splitting the 45 Powerballs into 1-9,
10-18, 19-27, 28-36 and 37-45 and seeing if a set of 9 is way overdue.

5 Systems for Pick-5 Smart-Play Zones

No point in having the knowledge from the previous Chapter Four if you
have no tools to use with it! These are EXCLUSIVE systems.
The Guarantees are spelt out for each System; please read them carefully.
Often, there are MULTIPLE Guarantees - a unique feature of Lotto-Magic
Systems. Systems are included for:
8, 9, 10, 15 and 30 numbers.
Once you have chosen your numbers, simply substitute them for mine.
For example, if you choose 3, 8, 11, 18, 22, 25, 34, and 39 - then
everywhere I have 1 you substitute 3, everywhere I have 2 you substitute 8,
everywhere I have 3 you substitute 11, and so on.

SMART-PLAY ZONE SYSTEM PBS-608 for 8 Numbers

In Two Groups (5 Numbers + 3 Numbers) playing 34 Games, with
Multiple Guarantees. Includes a Guarantee of 5 Numbers Together under
certain conditions.
A full System 8 requires 56 games, so you save almost 40% on the cost of
playing.
SMART-PLAY ZONE SYSTEM PBS-609 for 9 Numbers
A basic 4-from-4 System for 9 numbers, in 32 games. A full System 9 guaranteeing 5-from-5 - requires 126 games, so you save around 75% on
the cost of playing. Or you can play 4 sets of 9 numbers in 128 games.
SMART-PLAY ZONE SYSTEM PBS-610 for 10 Numbers
In Five Groups of 2 Numbers, playing 42 Games, with Multiple
Guarantees.
Includes a Guarantee of 5 Numbers together under certain conditions.
A full System 10 requires 252 games, so you save over 80% on the cost of
playing - or you can play 6 sets of 10 numbers for the price of a full
System 10 (6 x 42 = 252).

SMART-PLAY ZONE SYSTEM PBS-630 for 30 Numbers
A basic 3-from-5 System for 30 numbers, in 120 games. Trap all 5
winning numbers in your 30 chosen numbers and Science guarantees at least three will be together and
You trust Lady Luck for the remaining two A lot smarter than trusting Lady Luck for all 5!

IMPORTANT. Choose 5 numbers and mark them off to see what you
would have won. Do this several times to get a feel for the Results the
System will give you.
Also, try it to see what happens if you only have 3 or 4 winning numbers.
Our Systems are VERY effective for delivering results if you only have
3 or 4 winning numbers. This is an important consideration - because
most weeks 3 or 4 numbers is all you will have. Check how many winners
you get from just three winning numbers.
Most computer systems are built for MINIMUM GAMES - We build ours
for the BEST MIX OF MINIMUM GAMES
AND
MAXIMUM RESULTS.
Check out the MULTIPLE GUARANTEES over the page. Others will
give you a single guarantee - in less games. BUT - Can they deliver the
results we do ? Test, Test, Test any lottery system you consider using.

more than two end-numbers the same.
TO USE THE SYSTEM - Enter your 9 Numbers in the boxes below

SMART-PLAY ZONE SYSTEM PBS-630 for 30 Numbers

A basic 3-from-5 System for 30 numbers, in 120 games. Trap all 5
winning numbers in your 30 chosen numbers and Science guarantees at least three will be together (it could be 4
or all 5) and You trust Lady Luck for the remaining two A lot smarter than trusting Lady Luck for all 5!
HOT TIP FOR PLAYING
Your numbers do not have to be in numerical sequence. You can use 1-30
if you want (it is tidier) but putting your numbers in as 1-15-30-40-7-1822-5-14 etc is okay. The guarantee stands no matter what order you enter
your numbers in.
TO USE THE SYSTEM - Enter your 30 Numbers in the boxes below

THE MISSING LINK

With the Field entries have disappeared for Powerball. While not
terribly popular in conventional Lotto, the Four With The Field entry has
some merit in Powerball. An option which we will consider in detail later
is a Strategy based on pairs, which can be very cost-effective.
A similar Strategy is to use a banker with two pairs. We will also discuss
this in depth later.
The value of pairs can be seen if you play 6 numbers. Any 4 numbers
from 6 numbers requires 15 combinations, or games. Any 2 pairs from 3
pairs requires only 3 combinations, or games.
BASIC STRATEGIES
There are really only four options:
1) Play lots of numbers with one Powerball
2) Play a few numbers with several Powerballs
3) A balance between the two Strategies above
4) Play mainly for 5 from 5 (Second Division) and use a Series
for the Powerball, eg, 10-19 or all the odd numbers
Any of these is acceptable, and we give you the tools to play
whichever you choose.

THE TYPES & ADVANTAGES OF MODIFIED SYSTEMS

The type and range of Modified Systems cover :
4-Guaranteed-from-any-4-Winning Numbers
This means if your selected numbers include 4 Winning Numbers,
they will all be in one line. If your selected numbers include all 5
Winning Numbers, it is possible they could all be in one line. The
chances are good and this is the risk you take for a significant
reduction in cost. The best option if you like tight guarantees.
3-Guaranteed-from-any-3-Winning Numbers
This means if your selected numbers include 3 Winning Numbers,
they will all be in one line. It is possible you could get 4-in-a-line,
or even 5. The big advantage is that you can play considerably more
numbers and give yourself a better chance of trapping the five
winning numbers to start with - then you worry about whether they
will line up.
3-Guaranteed-from-any-4-Winning Numbers
This means if your selected numbers include 4 Winning Numbers, at
least 3 will be in one line. It is possible you could get 4-in-a-line, or
even 5. This Strategy allows you to play more numbers than the 3from-3 or 4-from-4 Systems, but the chances of 4 or 5 numbers
together decreases. The best option for playing most numbers
(up to 18), but the loosest guarantee.
Four-with-the-Field
Here you play four numbers and link them to every number left. For
example, if your four numbers were 1,2,3 and 4, you would write
these 4 numbers into 41 game boxes. For the 5th number you write
5 to 45 inclusive into the 41 game boxes. This means you must
start with one winning number, even before the balls are drawn
- good news in a draw that gives a Division for 3 correct numbers, or
even 2 plus the Powerball. The drawback? You must play 41
games. An excellent option, but expensive to play.

Power Ball Strategies

Page 56

Four-with-the-Field - Multiple Entries

As above, but really a Syndicate Entry. If we choose 5 numbers,
there are 5 combinations of 4 numbers. These 5 sets of 4 numbers
must each be linked with the Field (ie, the remaining 41 numbers).
This means playing 205 games.
If we choose 6 numbers, there are 15 combinations of 4 numbers.
These 15 sets of 4 numbers must each be linked with the Field (ie,
the remaining 41 numbers). This means playing 615 games - really
only for Syndicates once the Jackpot is $10 Million or more.
Four-with-a-Banker
Similar to the above, but you choose just one number instead of all
of the remaining 41. For example, you might choose 6 numbers and
play every combination of four numbers - 15 combinations, as
above. To each of those 15 sets of 4 numbers, you add the SAME
number. This allows you to play a reasonable range of numbers,
knowing you have full cover on any four (except of course the
Banker). Illustrated later
Two-Pairs-with-a-Banker, or the Field
Similar to the above, but fewer combinations are required. For
example, any
4 numbers from 6 numbers gives rise to 15 combinations. Any 2
pairs from 3 pairs gives rise to only 3 combinations. The drawback
is that only your best two PAIRS count. Very cost-effective.
One Pair + One Treble
A very cheap way to play, but only your best pair plus your best
treble count. Never-the-less, a great way to play a lot of numbers
effectively and cheaply.
15 numbers can be played in only 9 games - BUT make sure you
understand the guarantee on this one. Explained in detail in the
appropriate section.

LottoMasta Modified Powerball Systems

The 4-from-4 Section
What is a
4-from-4 System?

4-from-4 refers to the Guarantee. It means if

you have 4 Winning Numbers amongst your
chosen numbers, they will all appear in one line.

Can I get more

than 4 numbers?

Yes. Since every game is 5 numbers, if you

have 5 Winning Numbers it is possible for them
to appear in one line. Since you are guaranteed
4 together, the chances of 5 together are quite
good, especially with the 7 or 9 number
Systems.

Why should I play

a 4-from-4
System?

It is a mathematically precise arrangement of

numbers that has a guaranteed result. For
example, you can play 10 numbers, arranged in
such a way that you are guaranteed any 4
numbers together in only 54 games (A full
System 10 is 252 Games). If you played 10
numbers in a haphazard way, there is no
guarantee that winning numbers will come
together.

What are the

Advantages of a
4-from-4 System?

By playing more numbers - with a Guaranteed

Result - you stand a much better chance of
picking up minor Divisions.
A 4-from-4 System also guarantees Multiples
of 3 numbers together.

Can I get
Multiple
Divisions?

YOU ALWAYS WILL - if you have 4

Winning Numbers, you must have Multiples of
3 Winning Numbers. If you also have the
Powerball, you would have Multiple Division
6s, Multiple Division 4s, plus at least one
Division 3. This is a MINIMUM return - it
could be Division 1 or 2.

Power Ball Strategies

What do I save on
a Full System by
playing a 4-from4 System?

Page 58

From 52% (for 7 numbers) to 78% (for 10

Numbers). A LottoPower System 1044 costs
$28-80 for 54 Games and guarantees any 4
number combination. An official System 10
costs $132-00 for 252 Games and guarantees
any 5 number combination.
For $132 (One FULL System 10), you can
play 10 numbers with 1 Powerball (with all 5
number combinations guaranteed).
For $144 (Cost of FIVE LottoPower System
1044s), you can play 10 numbers with FIVE
Powerballs (with all 4 number combinations
guaranteed).

It sounds too
good
to be true!

So how do I prove
it works?

I agree. The logic behind Lotto combinations well, it isnt logical! If you look at the official
Lotto Systems in All About Powerball (Free
from your Newsagent) a full System
8 costs $29-20. A System 10 costs $132. A
System 12 costs $410-00. By adding 50% more
numbers (From 8 to 12) the cost increases 14
times!
Rather than try to understand how it works,
check out the Results from using it. This will
give you a feel for the System and help you
decide whether you prefer a 4-from-4 System, a
3-from-3 System, etc. Photocopy any
LottoPower System several times. Choose 4
numbers and mark them off. Now note the
Results. Repeat this as many times as you like.
Now try it with 5 numbers. If you are happy
with the Results, play the System. If not try a
different type of System, eg,
3-from-3. An example is shown over the page -

Page 68

LottoMasta Modified Powerball Systems

The 3-from-3 Section
What is a
3-from-3 System?

3-from-3 refers to the Guarantee. It means if

you have 3 Winning Numbers amongst your
chosen numbers, they will all appear in one line
- which pays a Division in Powerball.

Can I get more

than 3 numbers?

Yes. Since every game is 5 numbers, if you

have 5 Winning Numbers it is possible for them
to appear in one line. While it is possible, the
chances are not that good with a 3-from-3
System - a 4-from-4 is much better (but more
expensive).

Why should I play

a 3-from-3
System?

It is a mathematically precise arrangement of

numbers that has a guaranteed result. For
example, you can play 15 numbers, arranged in
such a way that you are guaranteed any 3
numbers together in only 60 games (A full
System 15 is 3,003 Games). If you played 15
numbers in a haphazard way, there is no
guarantee that winning numbers will come
together.

What are the

Advantages of a
3-from-3 System?

By playing more numbers - with a Guaranteed

Result - you stand a much better chance of
picking up minor Divisions. Also playing more
numbers gives you a better chance of trapping
all the Winning Numbers to start with.

Can I get
Multiple
Divisions?

If you also have the Powerball, you would have

Multiple Division 6s plus at least one Division
7. If you do not have the Powerball, it is
possible to have more than one Division 7 but
the chances are not high. A 4-from-4 System
would pay Multiple Divisions, with or without

Page 69

the Powerball.
What do I save on
a Full System by
playing a 3-from3 System?

Serious Money. The maximum would be on a

System 15. A Full System 15 costs $1,560 for
3,003 games and covers all combinations of 5
numbers from 15. LottoPower System 1533
costs $32 for 60 games and guarantees any 3
numbers from 15.

It sounds too
good
to be true!

I agree. The logic behind Lotto combinations well, it isnt logical! If you look at the official
Lotto Systems in All About Powerball (Free
from your Newsagent) a full System 8 costs
$29-20. A System 10 costs $132. A System 12
costs $410-00. By adding 50% more numbers
(From 8 to 12) the cost increases 14 times!

So how do I prove
it works?

Rather than try to understand how it works,

check out the Results from using it. This will
give you a feel for the System and help you
decide whether you prefer a 3-from-3 System, a
4-from-4 System, etc. Photocopy any
LottoPower System several times. Choose 3
numbers and mark them off. Now note the
Results. Repeat this as many times as you like.
Now try it with 4 numbers, then 5. If you are
happy with the Results, play the System. If not
try a different type of System, eg, 4-from-4. A
couple of examples are shown below -

LottoMasta Modified Powerball Systems

The 3-from-4 Section
What is a
3-from-4 System?

3-from-4 refers to the Guarantee. It means if

you have 4 Winning Numbers amongst your
chosen numbers, then at least 3 will appear in
one line. Please Note: If you have four
Winning Numbers they MAY appear
together, but there is NO Guarantee they will
all appear in one Game (for this to be
Guaranteed, you need a 4-from-4 System).

Can I get more

than 3 numbers?

Yes. Since every game is 5 numbers, if you

have 5 Winning Numbers it is possible for them
to appear in one line. The chances of getting 4
together are reasonable, while 5 should
be considered no more than a possibility.

Why should I play

a 3-from-4
System?

It is a mathematically precise arrangement of

numbers that has a guaranteed result. For
example, you can play 14 numbers, arranged in
such a way that you are guaranteed any 3
numbers together - providing you have FOUR
Winning Numbers - in only 24 games (A full
System 14 is 2,002 Games). If you played 14
numbers in a random way, there is no guarantee
that winning numbers will come together.

What are the

Advantages of a
3-from-4 System?

You can play lots of numbers. For example, 18

numbers can be arranged in such a way that if
you have 4 winning Numbers 3 will appear
together, in only 60 Games. This costs $32 to
play - a full System 16 costs $2,260 to play.
By playing more numbers - with a Guaranteed
Result - you stand a much better chance of
picking up minor Divisions. The drawback is
that if you have all 5 winning numbers, the
chances of them coming together in one game
are not that good - but still better than random

Page 81

combinations.
Can I get
Multiple
Divisions?

Maybe. See the example at the end, and test this

System yourself to get a good feel for the results
you can expect.

What do I save on
a Full System by
playing a 3-from4 System?

For the 18 numbers mentioned above, over

$2,000. For under $100, you can play every
number on the coupon plus 9 of them twice (18
numbers x3 =54, less 45=9; 3x$32=$96).
This should get you minor Dividends from time
to time. If you like playing lots of numbers and
are prepared to trust to luck for the big one, then
3-from-4 Systems are for you. If you like tight
guarantees, stick to 4-from-4 Systems.

So how do I prove
it works?

Rather than try to understand how it works,

check out the Results from using it. This will
give you a feel for the System and help you
decide whether you prefer a 4-from-4 System, a
3-from-3 System, etc. Photocopy any
LottoPower System several times. Choose 4
numbers and mark them off. Now note the
Results. Repeat this as many times as you like.
Now try it with 5 numbers. If you are happy
with the Results, play the System. If not try a
different type of System, eg,
3-from-3. An example is shown below -

LottoMasta Modified Powerball Systems

Bankers & With-The-Field Entries
THESE SYSTEMS USE ONLY FOUR NUMBERS.
TO GET THE FIFTH NUMBER, YOU EITHER a) ADD A BANKER or
b) ADD THE 41 REMAINING NUMBERS (A WITHTHE-FIELD ENTRY)
FINALLY, YOU MUST ADD THE POWERBALL.
USING BANKERS
Definition: A Banker (sometimes called "Power Numbers")
is a number that appears in every single game you play, eg:
Game 1
Game 2
Game 3
Game 4

In the above example 20 is the Banker - it appears in every game.

Four-with-a-Banker - How to Play
You have FULL COVER ON ALL 4 NUMBER COMBINATIONS
AMONGST YOUR CHOSEN NUMBERS, but must add one number
(The Banker) to get the 5th number. For example, you might choose 6
numbers and play every combination of four numbers - 15 combinations,
as below. To each of those 15 sets of 4 numbers, you add the SAME
number. This allows you to play a reasonable range of numbers, knowing
you have full cover on any four (except of course the Banker).

With-The-Field Entries
Here you play four numbers and link them to every other number left
between 1 and 45. For example, if your four numbers were 1,2,3 and 4,
you would write these 4 numbers into 41 game boxes.
For the 5th number you write 5 to 45 inclusive into the 41 game boxes.
This means you must start with one winning number, even before the
balls are drawn - good news in a draw that gives a Division for 3 correct
numbers, or 2 correct numbers plus the Powerball. The drawback? You
must play 41 games.
Four-with-the-Field - Multiple Entries
As above, but really a Syndicate Entry. If we choose 5 numbers, there
are 5 combinations of 4 numbers. These 5 sets of 4 numbers must each be
linked with the Field (ie, the remaining 41 numbers). This means playing
205 games ie, 41 x 5.

and then only once the Jackpot is $10 Million or more.

Cost Savings
One Banker plus Seven Numbers requires 35 games. A full System 8
requires 56 games
YOU SAVE 21 GAMES, or 37%.
In Powerball you must play an even number of games, so you would play
the 35 above plus one random game. This means 36 games (Costs
$19-20) - instead of 56 games (Costs $29-20). IN DOLLAR TERMS,
YOU SAVE EXACTLY $10 EVERY WEEK.
This means you could play:
TWO System 8s for $60, or
THREE sets of Eight Numbers (Banker + 7) for $60
The big advantage if you were playing a small Syndicate is that you could
use three Powerballs instead of two.

AND THE DIFFERENCE? WITH A SYSTEM 8, ANY FIVE

NUMBERS WILL GIVE YOU A 2ND DIV (1ST WITH POWERBALL).
WITH ONE BANKER PLUS SEVEN NUMBERS, THE BANKER
MUST BE CORRECT PLUS ANY FOUR FROM THE OTHER SEVEN.

ONE PAIR + ONE TREBLE

PLAYING 15 NUMBERS - THE 3+2 STRATEGY

CAUTION: Please make sure you understand

the guarantee on this plan.

Numbers to be used:

15

Number of Games to be played:

This is an extremely cost-effective way to play 15 numbers, but its

drawback is only a pair + a treble count. However many winning
numbers you have in your 3 pairs, only 1 winning pair can count.
Similarly, no matter how many winning numbers you have in your 3
trebles, only 1 winning treble can count.
Guarantee: Each pair is matched with each treble,
to make 5 numbers.
1.

If one pair contains 2 winning numbers and one treble contains 3

winning numbers, you must have all 5 numbers in one line.

2.

Your best result is your best pair + your best treble. If any treble
contains three winning numbers, then you win Division 7, even if
your pairs contain no winning numbers and you do not have the
Powerball. With the Powerball, you have Div 7.

3.

If any treble contains three winning numbers + any pair contains one
winning number, then you win Division 3 with the Powerball, Div 5
without it.

4.

If any treble contains two winning numbers + any pair contains one
winning number, then you win Division 4 with the Powerball, Div 7
without it.

Power Ball Strategies

Page 100

5. ONLY A PAIR + A TREBLE COUNT. THE DRAWBACK TO THIS

SYSTEM IS YOU MAY HAVE 5 WINNING NUMBERS WITHIN
YOUR PAIRS AND WIN NOTHING. SIMILARLY, YOU MAY
HAVE 5 WINNING NUMBERS WITHIN YOUR TREBLES YET
WIN ONLY DIVISION 7.
6. If you have only a pair correct, you must also have the Powerball to
win Div 6.
7. If you have 1 winning number in your pairs and one winning number
in your trebles, you must also have the Powerball to win Div 6.
8. If you have a pair correct, then any winning number in any treble will
pay a Division 4 with the Powerball, Div 7 without it.

SMART LOTTO STRATEGY

To provide BALANCE in your games, first decide what will go in
the pairs and what will go in the trebles.
Example 1
Pairs = Even Numbers, Trebles = Odd numbers (Or the reverse)
Example 2
Pairs = 1 to 20, Trebles = 21 to 45 (Or some other split you prefer)
Statistically, you can expect 2/3 Odd plus 2/3 Even numbers in the 5
numbers most weeks. Quite often 1 + 4 will turn up. All 5 odd or
all 5 even happens only very occasionally, as does all 5 numbers
being all high or all low.
Try to balance your games to fit what is probable, rather than what
comes out very occasionally. This Strategy is not compulsory - you
choose how you play - but it is recommended.
Pairs
Pairs are a very cost-effective way to play when used with a Banker.
They may even be used for With the Field entries, but this gets
expensive.

Power Ball Strategies

Page 112

THE POWERBALL ITSELF

Please look back at pages 59 and 70/71. Notice how many times TWO
numbers appear for the given results.
System 944 would win 10 times if you did not have the Powerball. If you
had the Powerball a further 15 games would win - and the 10 games would
win a higher Division. Similar comments apply to System 933.
For any of my Systems, whether or not you have the Powerball makes a
big difference in what you get paid. If you play the SAME Powerball for
all your games, its a death or glory situation - and if that matches your
personality, fine, go for it.
However, there is nothing to stop you playing a RANGE OF
POWERBALLS if you so choose. Going back to System 944, there are 30
games. IF you choose to play FIVE DIFFERENT Powerballs, each one will
appear in 6 games. This increases (by 5 times) your chances of getting
the Powerball, BUT reduces the number of Divisions paid if you are
successful.
Of course, you still have to match the Winning Powerball to Winning
Numbers from the five. Its not guaranteed, but it is possible. Again,
decide how you want to play, and then TEST YOUR CHOSEN SYSTEM
SEVERAL TIMES. If your chosen System doesnt give the results you
want, try using 3 Powerballs. Alternatively, if 5 Powerballs gives good
results, you might want to see what happens with 8 or even 10 Powerballs.
THE TRADE-OFF BETWEEN WINNING BIG OR WINNING
REGULARLY IS AT THE HEART OF ALL MODIFIED SYSTEMS.
I cannot give you specific advice as to which System to play. It depends
on your Budget and whether you like high-risk/possible-big-return
Strategies or low-risk/smaller-but-more-regular returns.
I personally like 4-from-4 Systems because there are more Multiple
Divisions and the possibility of getting all 5 winning numbers together is
higher. I hedge my bets by dividing the number of games by 4 or 5 and
using that number of Powerballs.

Introducing
PowerLotto System PB 10-40
A totally NEW concept in Powerball Systems MULTIPLE Powerballs and MULTIPLE Guarantees
Take - FIVE Powerballs and TEN Main Numbers and in just 40 games you get the following guarantees

If you have ANY of the FIVE Powerballs, you will have

at least Two main numbers with your chosen Powerball

If you have just THREE Winning Numbers in your ten

main numbers, they will be together at least twice in the
overall 40-game system

If you have all Five Winning Numbers in your ten main

numbers, at least four will be in one line somewhere in
the overall 40-game system.

First, fill in the boxes below - Write your ten numbers against YOUR

Powerball

NOW - THE CLEVER BIT: Each of the eight games guarantees any
two numbers together - BUT THEY ALL HAVE DIFFERENT
COMBINATIONS !
By combining these 5 sets of 8 different games, your OVERALL entry
guarantees:

ALL THREE NUMBER COMBINATIONS APPEAR AT

LEAST TWICE, (plus multiple sets of 2 numbers) and

IF YOU HAVE FIVE WINNING NUMBERS, AT LEAST

FOUR WILL BE TOGETHER (plus multiple sets of 3
numbers and heaps of 2s)

Power Ball Strategies

Page 116

THE CHANCES OF ALL FIVE COMING TOGETHER ARE

BETWEEN 1-in-6 and 1-in-7.
A FULL SYSTEM TEN REQUIRES 252 GAMES AND YOU CAN USE
ONLY ONE POWERBALL.
A full System 10 is the ONLY way to guarantee First Division (Always
provided you have the five winning numbers plus the Powerball, of course).
Our System requires just 40 games and gives you several lesser guarantees BUT any 5 numbers you play could give you First Division IF you have the
Powerball. With 5 different Powerballs, and 10 numbers mathematically
arranged to guarantee minor divisions, there is a reasonable chance of some
return - for an entry costing only $21-40 (In Australia).

CREATING YOUR OWN MULTIPLE POWERBALL SYSTEMS

When you use any of the Systems in this book, the order in which you
put the numbers makes a difference. You can create Multiple Powerball
Systems simply by changing the order of the numbers. Lets take System
933 (page 20) as an example. Suppose we play:
5, 9, 12, 18, 23, 27, 30, 35 and 40.
The first time we will enter them in this order.

See the difference ? Create your very own Multi-Systems !

You can do this as many times as you wish, using a different order
every time. Each set of 12 games guarantees 3-from-3, but in a
different way. I have simply reversed the order so you see more
easily that the games are different. You can use any random order
you wish. The more random sets you use, the more likely there will
be the occasional duplicate game but since it is with a different
Powerball, it is fine. Use a different Powerball with each set of 12
games.

By playing all 53 numbers (plus 26 & 36 twice) you have guaranteed

ALL 53 numbers somewhere in your ELEVEN games.
This solves the most fundamental problem of all - making sure you get
all the winning numbers. And you can do it in just 11 games.
By adhering to sensible limits for each ball (1-to-13 for ball one, 10-to-27
for ball two, and so on) - you are mimicking what happens in practice
AND what theory suggests should happen.
