Task title: Warm up Written component
Task: Students are to research the importance of warming up in dance. Once they are
aware of the elements of a warm up they are to create their own 5-7 min warm up. The
plan needs to be written down and submitted week 2 and will be practically demonstrated
at an allocated lesson throughout the semester.

Write - 1 page typed write up including:

Elements of warm up and their importance in own words

Appropriate song selection with justification

Chosen movements what part of the body they are focussed


on and how they fit with the elements of a warm up. (this section
can be in a table format)
Practical 5-10min warm up
Correct music organised and at lesson
Confident and well-rehearsed
Tasks are accessible to all or varying levels are offered
