TOM OCONNELL RIP Tony OConnell, son of Tom, who was a well known parishioner at Our
Lady of Peace for many decades, has written and is sad to report the passing of his father. Tom
was one of the group of men who laid the foundation stone of the Church back in the 1960s, he
served with the Knights of Saint Columba in Slough throughout his adult life and eventually held
the position as Grand Knight. He was also a Governor at Our Lady of Peace School into his
early eighties when dementia started to take its toll. He was 95 years old when he died at a Care
Home near Market Harborough on 17th October. A Mass will be held for him in Market
Harborough on Wednesday, 28th October. Any messages of condolence from those who knew
Tom may be sent to the undertakers:- Mr Chris Stamp, J Stamp & Sons, 'The Chestnuts', 15
Kettering Road, Market Harborough, LE16 8AN. or by email to chris@jstampandsons.co.uk with
the reference Thomas O'Connell.
