High Efciency Motors-IE2

Motors for safe areas

The International Electrotechnical Commission

(IEC) has published the new efciency Standard
IEC 60034-30, that denes the principles and
harmonizes the classes of energetic efciency
through the world.
The new Standard divides the electric motors
in three levels of efciency: IE1 (standard efciency), IE2 (high
efciency), IE3 (premium efciency). Motors with the logo IE2
are available also in High Efciency IE2.
