It looks like a galaxy far, far away is coming back with a

bang.
Tickets for the most anticipated movie of the year, Star
Wars: The Force Awakens, went on sale this Monday
coinciding with a new trailer featured on NFLS Monday
Night Football.
The high demand for opening night showings of the film
crushed industry records for previous pre-order for tickets.

Outselling previous record holder The Hunger Games

eight times over, internet traffic for online ticket sites such
as Fandango and MOvietickets.com surged to seven times
more than its peak level in less than 24 hours. This caused
many of the sites to crash for most trying to get there
hands on tickets, but gave the film a report 6.5 million take
in for opening night showings.

Industry projections say that the 7th entire into the highly
beloved franchise with have a opening weekend box office
sales of 600 million, with ever Imax theater in North
America showing the film exclusively. Star Wars: The Force
Awakens opens December 18th.
