CENTRAL BANK OF IRELAND

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
The project started on site in May 2015 and is due to be complete in Q4 of 2016. The
development comprises of eight oors above ground with two basement levels. The
roof area will accommodate the majority of all plant requirements for the building.

Work on site to-date has focused on the construction of a new two storey podium extension to the east and north of the existing structure along with some structural
amendments to the existing structure. These relatively minor structural amendments are designed to make eect to the particular needs of the bank. This includes some
new stairs, bridges and extended oor plates within the atrium space to improve connectivity between the oors and to facilitate its use as a collaborative environment.

FACADE
The procurement of the facade commenced in early 2014, one year ahead the start of site
operations. During the design and development phase of the external envelope, the design
team undertook a number of QA/QC visits to the facade contractors supply chain. These
included, glass manufacture, glazed unit manufacture, unitised panel assembly, anodising
plant and stone quarries.
