PROCEDURAL CONTROL FOR LCLK

Larnaca airport is a procedural tower, which means that there is no radar coverage. (no radar
contact, no vectors)
In order to make things as real as it gets, this document shows us the real way procedural
control is done in LCLK. (STARs, SIDs, coordinated flight levels)
Coordinated flight levels between Nicosia ACC and LCLK_APP
ARRIVALS
All traffic coming from west and southwest should be cleared by Nicosia ACC to FL130 and
according to traffic there should be FL150,FL170 and so on. (the hand off to LCLK_APP is usually
below FL210)
All traffic coming from northeast and south should be cleared to FL120 and according to traffic
there should be FL140,FL160 and so on. (the hand off to LCLK_APP is usually below FL210)
DEPARTURES
For departures going westbound Larnaca gives an initial FL200 and hands off to Nicosia ACC
after a report of 8000ft. (Larnaca can always ask for another report and keep the aircraft under
its control if he thinks there would be a conflict with an inbound traffic. Traffic must be clear
before handing over to Nicosia ACC)
For departures eastbound or southbound Larnaca gives and initial FL110 and hands off to
Nicosia ACC after a report of 8000ft. (Larnaca can always ask for another report and keep the
aircraft under its control if he thinks there would be a conflict with an inbound traffic. Traffic
must be clear before handing over to Nicosia ACC)
SIDs and STARs used according to runway in use
When runway 22 is in use
DEPARTURES
Traffic westbound should be cleared via the PHA2B (PAFOS2B) departure only. The purpose for
this is to separate the inbound traffic coming either from BONEK or LUBES. (If the pilot has filed
another waypoint apart from PHA then his flight plan should be amended)
Traffic eastbound or southbound should be cleared via the EMILI1B, EMEDA1B, KOBER1B or
RUDER2B departure.
