The APICS CSCP Learning System has been updated for Edition 2016 (Version 4.

0) to follow the 2016 CSCP Exam Content

Manual (ECM). The following summarizes the changes made for the new edition.

Updated content to match changes in APICS CSCP Exam Content Manual (ECM) Version 4.0.

Content reorganized per ECM outline and consolidated to remove redundancies from previous edition. Organized
to start with strategy, followed by design, planning, and implementation processes.
Key processes included in each module section.
Strategy tools and techniques detailed, including macro and micro economic considerations.
How information and data are managed and communicated has been added, with new content covering project
management and communication processes and planning considerations.
Supply chain logistics expanded with more information on network design, optimization and reverse logistics.
Supply chain improvement and best practices expanded with more information on risk management, standards
and the GRI, and change management.
Key terminology list updated with additional terms added to text.

Content corrections and clarifications have been made per submitted Quick Comment feedback items.
NEW! The CSCP Learning System module books are available for electronic access (protected e-download files) as well as
in print format. Users can access the reading materials for viewing on any devicedesktop, tablet or mobilewithout the
need for additional apps or plug-ins. The documents are designed to be unlocked for personal use with either Adobe
Reader (PDF) or a modern web browser (web link).

NEW! Included with purchase, students have access to the video, Techniques for Taking APICS Exams. In this video,
industrial engineer Liezl Smith, CPIM, CIRM, CSCP, ACPF, provides techniques for taking APICS exams successfully so
that candidates walk into the testing center with confidence. Smith, a long-time APICS instructor who has passed over a
dozen APICS exams, outlines how much time candidates should allocate each week for study and shares proven
techniques for understanding and answering each question on the exam most effectively. Also included are test-taking
tips for non-native English speakers.

NEW! CSCP Instructors have access to an expanded Instructor Resource Book to use when preparing for and teaching
the 2016 course. The Instructor Resource Book includes large PowerPoint slide images with references to where the
content is located within the Learning System reading materials and source ECM bibliography list. Detailed facilitator
notes provide guidance with talking points for each slide.

Classroom slides updated to match 2016 Learning System organization. New slides added for new content areas.
Access Manager has been updated with the enhanced course administration features, including new search and filtering
capabilities.
