prevention equipment. There is a Hydril BOP design to meet any operational requirement, on the surface or subsea. Hydril

HIGH PERFORMANCE CHOKES

PULSATION DAMPENERS

Hydril high performance chokes are designed for moderate

to severe well conditions.
Applications include high pressure drops, high flowing velocities, corrosive fluids, H2S and
CO2, low temperatures, steam
injection and wells with heavy
erosion potential. Hydril was
first to use the cage trim design
in a production choke: this was
the BFB, introduced in 1978. BFB
provides positive shut-off with
Hydrils patented seat seal. When the flow cone contacts
the seat seal, the valve is closed.These resilient seals are
suitable for extreme temperature ranges and have a broad
range of fluid compatibility. Hydrils PRB, developed for
high flow rate, medium pressure applications, was introduced in 1984. PRB is Hydrils trim for moderate to severe
application. Plug movement is guided by the nozzle. This
feature provides steady throttling, ensures smooth operation and directs flow toward nozzle center to minimize
wear. Today, these chokes are in service worldwide in high
pressure wells, steam injection wells, critical subsea wells
and sensitive environmental regions.

K-SERIES
K-Series pulsation dampeners have solved pulsation
problems with oilfield reciprocating mud pumps
for over 40 years. They are reliable and
dependable and have a field replaceable
bottom plate, invaluable for service
with abrasive slurries such as coal and
mud. This eliminates time consuming,
costly shop repairs. A stabilizer disk
increases diaphragm life by preventing
fluid from being trapped in the folds.
Capacities of 10, 20 and 80 gallons
Pressure ratings to 7,500 psi

IP-SERIES
IP-Series are versatile dampeners for industrial
and production operations. Features include:
ASME B&PV Section VIII, Div.1 (Standard)
Ideal for corrosive service, since fluid is
isolated from the body.Replaceable
bottom plate is the only wetted metal
part.
Capacity of 1/2, 1, 2-1/2, 5, 10 or 20
gallons.
