EASTER MARKETS
Easter is the second most important holiday in Germany after Christmas. Due largely to the success of Europe‘s more well-
established Christmas Market season, Easter Markets have also grown in popularity in the last few years. Easter Markets
are tremendously popular in major as well as smaller cities across Austria, Germany, the Czech Republic and England.

FARM MARKETS
Shopping at farm markets is often the most cost effective way to eat healthily. The trick is to plan ahead - that way you
run less risk of coming home with bags and bags of gorgeous, sweet-smelling fruit and hearty fresh veggies, only to find
that you‘ve thrown most of it away a week later.
It‘s always best to know a little about what produce is in season before you go to a farm market - that way, you can plan
recipes ahead and cooking for the week after will be a breeze. Get there early for the freshest produce; go there late for
the bargains!
You may also want to consider taking a shopping bag, tote, or a basket - the bags that you‘re likely to get at a farm market are generally going to be the very thin
blue plastic ones that may or may not successfully transport things like a dozen bulky potatoes to the car. Nothing beats the taste, smell and experience of buying
fresh produce from a farmers‘ market, and Bavaria does it best.
