Army Special Rules


Killer Habits
A model or part of a model with this special rule may re-roll all natural to wound rolls of 1 in close combat.

Master of the Dark Arts


If your army includes one or more models with this rule, add an additional +1 to channel attempts for power dice.

Aura of Despair
Enemy units in base contact with one or more units with this special rule roll an extra D6 for Leadership tests
(excluding break tests) and discard the lowest dice.

Alpha Predator
A Monster with this special rule has +1 Weapon Skill, Initiative and Leadership

Fleet Commander
Models with this Special Rule have a Innate Defence (5+) and may not take any mount. When a model with this Special
Rule joins a unit of Dread Corsairs, Warriors or Repeaters, the model and all rank and file models in the unit gain
Swiftstride, and enemy units that break from a combat with this combined unit roll an additional D6 for the fleeing
distance roll and discard the highest die.
If the General of the army has this Special rule, one unit of Dread Corsairs may have the Vanguard Special Rule for
1 pts/model.

Beast Commander
Friendly units of Cavalry, Monstrous Cavalry, Monsters, and War Beasts within 12 of a model with this Special Rule
may roll 3D6 for Leadership tests and discard the highest die. Mounted models with this Special Rule roll 3D6 for
Leadership tests and discard the highest dice for Frenzy and Stupidity tests.

Cult of Blood

Cult of Lust

Cult of Blood characters and Cult of Blood units


containing a Cult of Blood characters gain the
Thunderous Charge special rule.

Cult of Lust characters and Cult of Lust units containing a


Cult of Lust characters gain the Armour Piercing (1)
special rule.

Blessing of the Dark Gods


At the start of each game turn until the end of that turn, a friendly unit with the Killer Habits special rule within 6 of an
Altar may gain one of the blessings listed below. This range is increased to 12 if it is mounted by a Cult High Priestess.
A single unit cannot be affected by more than one Blessing of the Dark Gods at any time.

Cult Rivalry

Cult models may not affect units containing models of another cult with Inspiring Presence, Hold your Ground,
or Blessings of the Dark Gods.
Cult Character models cannot join units of a different cult or units containing a character model from a
different cult.

Petrifying Stare:
Range (12), Strength(4), Multiple Shots (2), Armour Piercing (6) - to wound rolls of attacks made with this weapon are
made against the targets Initiative instead of Toughness.
Repeater Crossbow:
Range (24), Strength(3), Armour Piercing (1) , Multiple Shots (2)
Gladiator Weapons
The wearer has the Weapon Master special rule. May either be used as Flail, Additional Hand Weapon, Spear, Hand
Weapon+Shield, Great Weapon or Halberd.
Executioner Weapon
Great Weapon. Lethal Strike and Multiple Wounds (2, Infantry, Monstrous Beast, Cavalry).

Magic items
Enchanted Items
Potion of Dragon Blood 50 pts
One use only. Active at the start of any phase. For the duration of the player turn, the wearer has Strength 6, Toughness
6 and Breath Weapon (Strength 4, Flaming Attack).
Ring of Darkness 35 pts
The wearer's unit gains the blurry special rule. Close Combat attacks made against the wearer's unit are at -1 WS.
Arcane Items
Sacrificial Dagger 50 / 25 pts
At the start of the magic phase, the wearer may inflict D3 wounds on its own unit, with no saves allowed. If the wearer
does so, the wearer gains an additional +2 casting modifier during this Magic Phase.
Focus Familiar 25 pts
At the start of every friendly
magic phase
, place a 20x20mm base within 6" of the bearer (and more than 1 away from
other models and impassable terrain). When casting spells, the wearer may choose the use the position of this base
when drawing Line of Sight, measuring Range and determining front arc (declare what is the front of the base when
placing it). At the end of the phase, remove the marker.
Talismans
Amulet of Spite 35 pts
The bearer gains Magic Resistance (2). If an enemy wizard within 12 successfully casts and resolves a spell and two (or
more) Power Dice rolled an unmodified '1', the caster suffers a Miscast with PDU = 2. A single casting roll cannot result
in more than 1 miscast.
Midnight Cloak 60 / 50 pts
The Wearer has Ward Save (3+), which can only be used against ranged attacks. Furthermore the wearer has Lethal
Strike and Multiple Wounds (D3) when charging.
Magic Armour
Blood Armor 10 pts - Infantry only
Type: Heavy Armour. For each unsaved wound inflicted by the wearer during this round of combat, the wearer gains +1
Armour Save (up to a maximum of 1+) for the rest of the game.
Magic Banners
Banner of Murder 35 pts
Parts of models with the Killer Habits special rule re-roll to wound rolls of 1 or 2.
Magic Weapon
Execution Axe 40 pts - Infantry only
Type: Great Weapon. Attacks with this weapon are made at +3 Strength (instead of +2) and have Multiple Wounds (2).
Whip of Subversion 40 pts
Type: Hand Weapon. The wearer gains +1 Attack. Close combat attacks with this weapon are always made with S5
(ignore any modifiers). If a model suffers an unsaved wound from this weapon it loses all of it's attacks for the
remainder of this combat round.
