When we first arrived in France,
the estimates were that .05-.06%
of the population were evangelical believers. Last year that
number passed 1.0%. While that
may still seem small, its nearly
100% growth! God is working
in Europe and we - you and us
together - get to be a part of it.

Change

You may recall this from our last update: Even if youre on the right track,
youre likely to get run over if you just sit there. Heres more from the same
source: Maintaining the status quo simply breeds mediocrity.* As believers
we are called to continual growth and movement. Growth in relationship with
God. Movement for His Kingdom. Just as some sharks move to breathe, we
must continually follow Gods leading to grow in spiritual maturity.
This is a truth that were learning in our life and ministry. Just as we feel we
are getting the hang of things, God moves us into something new. We are
stretched. God grows us as we follow. Its frightening and confusing, but in
the end, we see how God knew better than we did.
When we went to France in 2004, we focused on learning language and
culture. Then we served a French church womens and mens ministry, kids,
admin, media. Next we were asked to help with team tasks for GEM admin,
recruiting, and events. Then while we served in another church, we were
asked to serve in strategy and leadership on Europe-wide. Now, while we
continue to serve locally in outreach and discipleship, some of our focus has
moved from direct ministry to indirect ministry enabling many others to
share the Gospel and serve the Kingdom across Europe.
But our focus never changes making disciples who make disciples and
planting churches that plant churches. The goal is to give every person in
Europe the opportunity to respond to the saving grace of the Gospel. Were
at a key time in history. People are flowing into Europe like never before.
Change is in the wind and God is at work. If you have been a partner in what
God is doing there - thank you. If you should be a part of what the change
and movement for the Kingdom, wed love to share more with you. God will
stretch and grow us together for HIS glory.
