Family, Rooms in the house and activities
in the house review

This week we are learning:

Circle Time Review
This week we will continue our review of the
subjects covered last term as well as all the
speaking and grammar:
How are you?
What can you see?
What day is it today?
What is the weather today?
How old are you?
What do you like? colour, fruit etc.
What dont you like?
We will also be singing new songs:
Rain, rain go away,
I like vegetables

Activity Time
This week we will be continuing our review of the topics covered this term. This week we will cover
the topics of family, rooms of the house and activities in the house. We will be reviewing games,
songs, speaking using the vocabulary and grammar and other activities related to each of the
topics.
We will review both of the subjects individually and then both together using vocabulary from family
in the rooms of the house to practice sentences like: Where is mommy?.
We will also be adding additional vocabulary in each of the topics where appropriate.
My House: a house, the garage, the garden, the kitchen, a bedroom, the stairs, the bathroom, the
living room, the dining room, the study

And main objects in each room:

Bedroom: bed, wardrobe, drawers, Bathroom: toilet, bath, shower, sink
Kitchen: oven, sink, fridge
Living room: sofa, TV, table
My Family: mom/mommy, dad/daddy, big/little brother, big/little brother, aunt, uncle, grandmother,
grandmother, me, baby

Review
We will continue to review all of the
phonics we did last term including all the
letters names and sounds of the alphabet
from A Z, Blending 3 letter words
together like big, hat, mat, ban, can etc.
and recognising first sounds of words
using real objects and drawing pictures on
the board.

This week we are going to start making 3 letters words this is an exciting new step in the
development of our phonics classes. We are going to focus on the -an family. Such words are;
can, fan, pan, man, van, and ran.

Writing Practice

We will continue to do writing practice

in their new books this week in the
mornings and as homework this term.

I hope all of the students are enjoying this term so far. We will continue to learn and have loads of fun together. Phonics this term will be harder and I
think all the students will do very well.
This week continue to review any of the topics vocabulary, games and grammar.
