Hardware Products (Firmware Versions)


FastStor 2: LTO-3, LTO-2 HH and SDLT600 (Library and Drive)
Remote Identification (Library Firmware): Login to the RMU. The library firmware
level (Controller Firmware Revision) is the forth item in the Autoloader information.
From other screens in the RMU, you can get back to the library firmware level by
selecting Information and Autoloader

Remote Identification (Drive Firmware): Login to the RMU and select drive. The
drive firmware level (Firmware Revision) is the fifth item in the Drive information. From
other screens in the RMU, you can get back to the drive firmware level by selecting
Information and Drive

Scalar 24 (Library, Drives, RMU, SNC and AMC)


Remote Identification (Library, Drives, RMU, SNC and AMC)
Library and RMU FW: Go to the RMU Status tab. (Library FW and RMU FW
circled below)

Drive FW: Go to the RMU Firmware tab. If not logged in, enter your login name
and password (the default login is admin and the default password is secure) and
select submit. The current drive FW version is displayed in the circles below (25D4).

SNC 4000 Version: Open the AMC client. If not logged in, enter your login name
and password (the default login is admin and the default password is password)
and select submit. The SNC firmware version is circled below.

AMC for the SC24: Open the AMC client. If not logged in, enter your login name
and password (the default login is admin and the default password is password)
and select submit.

1. Push the arrow keys until the STATUS menu is highlighted.

2. Push the yellow button to access the status menu.

3. Push the arrow keys until the display FW menu is highlighted.

4. Push the yellow button to access the status menu.

5. Push the up/down buttons to locate the library (application), drive # and RMU FW

Library and RMU FW: Go to the RMU Status tab. (Library FW and RMU FW

Drive FW: Go to the RMU Firmware tab. If not logged in, enter your login name
and password (the default login is admin and the default password is secure) and

6. Select Details until RMU Firmware is displayed. Note: The drive App and boot
code are not the drive firmware version. See below to find drive firmware:
For Drive Firmware Versions

1. Select Status

2. Select Drives

3. Drive Firmware circled. Select Change Drive for info on additional drives.
Scalar 218 (Library):

Scalar 440/480 (Library):
Remote Identification: No remote identification options
Physical Location: Look on the back of the Scalar 480. There will be a sticker in the
middle and at the bottom of the Scalar 480 frame, next to the AC power cord. Example:
(S/N 12000123)

Drive Firmware Versions
Go to: Main Screen > Status > Drives > Drive State > Then input the coordinate of the
desired drive.
You can also find the Library and Drive firmware versions from the AMC Client session
when you look at the devices on the appropriate SCSI channels.
