Registers of Mythology
The variation of mythology by genre can be
approached in terms of registers. This
approach can then be applied back to variation
in mythology according to positioning by
religion, as in mythic discourse related to
Christianization. Whereas language has

highlight the relatedness of those groups, which
does not necessarily entail seeking to reconstruct an
