Defines via customizing (LE > WM >

Add an entry in ST search table (OMLY)
to link ST indicator and STs
Update material master (WM1) with STI

Storage Section Indicators (SCI)

Used to steer materials towards a
destination storage section within a ST
during putaway
Defines via customizing (LE > WM >
Strategies)
Add an entry in SC search table (OMLZ)
to link SC indicator and SCs within a ST
Update material master (WM1) with SCI

Putaway strategy Pallet (P)

Activate putaway strategy as P in ST
Define storage bin types (SBT) (if required)
WM > Master data > Sto.bin types
Define strategy for pallets (Bin sections)
WM > Strategies > Putaway strategies
Link SBT and SUT
Create / changes bins with new SBT (LS11)
Update SBT search with new SBT
WM > Strategies > Activate SBT search

Putaway strategy Bulk (B)+SU

Activate putaway strategy as B in ST

Define storage bin types (SBT) (if required)
WM > Master data > Sto.bin types
Define strategy for Bulk (Bulk/Block )
WM > Strategies > Putaway strategies
- Define storage type control
- Define bulk storage indicator
- Define bulk / block structure
Create / changes bins to new SBT (LS11)
Update SBT search with new SBT, if required
WM > Strategies > Activate SBT search
Update material master with Bulk Indicator

Putaway using inbound delivery

Putaway using inbound delivery

Its used to update IM stock after completing WM
activities (more realistic)
To create inbound delivery using purchase order (PO),
confirmation control key (relevant for inbound delivery
creation) needs to be updated in each PO item
Define confirmation control key in MM customizing Materials Management Purchasing Confirmations
Set Up Confirmation Control.
If the inbound delivery confirmation control key is
assigned to a purchase order item, it is no longer possible
to post a goods receipt with reference to a purchase
order

In Vendor master & info- record (purchasing)
In Customizing for shipping, assign default
values to combinations of plant, storage
location, purchasing document type and
purchase order category (LE Shipping
Deliveries Define Order Confirmations for
Inbound Deliveries).

Update confirmation control key in PO item
(ME21N)
Create inbound delivery - (VL31N)
Putaway item to warehouse (TO creation)
LT03 / VL06I
Confirm TO LT12 / VL06I
Post delivery using VL32N -> Update IM
stock

section) with following set up,
Putaway strategy - P / Pallet
Bin type E1
Permitted SUs E1 > E2 > IP
SBT v/s SUT E1 (2 E1, 2 E2, 3 IP)
Bins A-01-01 to A-01-10
No: of pallets per bin 2
