INTRODUCTION
III. COMPANY PROFILE
With his experience for about twenty (20) years in the Customs Brokerage
industry, Mr. Rolando Celebre founded MLZ CARGO FORWARDERS on
26th of June 1991. On the same year, MLZ earned a license to operate as
a Customs Broker and Forwarder.
In what is considered an unprecedented feat in the industry, MLZ begun its
operation expansion by increasing its field personnel. To meet the demand
for efficient handling and delivery of shipments, MLZ has acquired four (4)
container trucks and six (6) container chasses. MLZ then earned its
membership with the Confederation of Truckers Association of the
Philippines (CTAP).
To attest MLZ's commitment for an efficient handling of cargo shipment, the
Company has insured its cargo during in-transit delivery of cargoes from
any ports of Manila to any points in Metro Manila and Luzon areas. This will
specifically protect our client's shipments from any lose or damage during
ordinary and customary course of transit of cargoes.
With the growing and continuous demand in the industry, MLZ has gone
into partnership to an accredited firm name MLZ FORWARDERS CO. on
March 14, 1995. The expansion earned to establish a Custom brokerage
and other allied business such as trucking, cargo forwarding and cargo
consolidation with the field of operation at NAIA, South/North Harbour and
MICP.
With this strategic positioning into specialized forwarding, MLZ Forwarders
confidently looks ahead for continuous service excellence and total
customer satisfaction, and MLZ handle shipments at maximum level of
diligence by treating every shipment precious as ourselves. For MLZ, no
shipments is too small to refuse, nor too big to handle.

IV. ENVIRONMENTAL ANALYSIS

A) Macro-Environmental Factors
Technological Factors
The trade routes become more competitive because of road works,
bad weather and traffic congestion, the bargaining power of the shippers
will be challenged. One important strategy to counter this challenge is to
use balance sheet strength to acquire the position of players in important
trade routes and geographies especially in emerging markets.
Political Factors
It must follow the FIATA Model Rules for Freight Forwarding Services
as adopted by Panalpina World Transport (Philippines) Inc. There will be a
new government and some laws, tax levies and break and market
regulations and road rules might be changed. The MLZ Forwarders
Company must stay in line with all those policies and changes so they can
adapt to all those changes accordingly.
Social Factors
The MLZ Forwarders Company is located at Binondo, Manila.
Binondo is the center of commerce and trade of Manila, where all types of
business were done. The producers will be interested in inquiring on MLZ
Forwarders Company to deliver their goods to the consumers mainly
because it has 20 years of experience in the customs and brokerage
industry. It delivers around the Luzon, Visayas and some parts in
Mindanao.

B) Industry/Market Analysis
Whether the firm is large or small, the weight of the cargo light or
heavy, the freight forwarder will take care of cargo from dock to door
if requested to do so. This can include the correct filing of export
documentation, all arrangements with carriers, packing, crating and
storage needs. So, the small and medium-size exporter need not deal
with many of the details involved with the logistics of exporting their
goods. In addition, freight forwarders typically charge modest rates
for their services and have access to shipping discounts.
As for the companies and producers, it is our duty to help them
exports their good and products all around the Philippines. Given the
years of experience and constant attention to detail provided by the
forwarder, it may be a good investment.
C) COMPETITION
Competition among Brokerage Company is very high. May it be
Multinational Company or not, all are a threat to one another. To
name a few are TA Logistics Inc., BCA Customs Brokerage,
WellCargo Customs Brokerage Incorporated and FFB Customs
Brokerage and Cargo Forwarders. All offers standard Brokerage rate
so the competition depends on the services provided by each
