REJECTED TAKEOFF
For abort prior to Vr, immediately and simultaneously apply wheel brakes, retard power levers to
idle, lift power levers, and pull aft through the beta range to full reverse. Use caution with
asymmetrical reverse; directional control could be a problem.
Move power levers to flight idle by 40 KTS to prevent propeller erosion. However, use maximum
reverse thrust to a full stop if absolutely necessary. Use reverse thrust cautiously on wet or
slippery runways. Also use caution during strong crosswind conditions because reverse thrust
may aggravate any weather veining tendency. Maintain direction control with nose wheel steering
to remain on the runway centerline.
