HC Invitational
By Lee Kendall, Sports writer

the 39th annual Harrison

of the meet, 111.5 to 105.5,
and got past Grant County
in the girls meet, 107 to 102.

Fillies lose
2 straight
By Lee Kendall, Sports writer
The Harrison County Fillies softball team saw their bats
fall silent over the last two games, dropping a 14-0 decision
to top-10 ranked Montgomery County on Monday and a 11-0
loss to 38th District foe Nicholas County on Tuesday.
The loss to Nicholas County was particularly damaging
as the Lady Jackets will now secure the top seed in the
three-team 38th District Tournament, which will be played
at Harrison County, assuring them of a berth in the 10th
Region Tournament in three weeks.

would earn the top seed based on Tuesday night’s win.
