INTERPUTATION:
INDONESIA: Indonesia's population is growing fast and has doubled in 50 years. If Indonesia's does not
make a conscious effort to rein in the birth rate, the country's population may reach an alarming 400 million
in the year 2060. An optimistic person might see the country's large population as a potential for economic
growth, as it would signify bigger markets for products and a significantly larger labor force to make those
products. But for individuals concerned with the environment, large populations represent a serious threat,
as over-population is the root of environmental problems, causing unsanitary living conditions, the depletion
of resources, environmental pollution and poverty.
PHILIPPINES: The Philippines is home to one of Asias youngest and fastest growing populations. The
country is not expected to reach its demographic peak until around 2077, well after China, South Korea, and
other powerful economies in the region. But the Philippines may never enjoy its demographic dividend if
poverty, unemployment, and inflation arent addressed. Unemployment has remained stubbornly high even
as the economy has grown an average of 5% a year over the past decade.
THAILAND: The last official national census was carried out in Thailand back in 2010 and the countrys
official population was declared at 65,479,453. Current estimates show a 2014 population in Thailand of
67.2 million, up slightly from 2013s estimate of 67.1 million, making it the 20th most populous country on
earth (a downgrade from its position as number 19 just two years ago).

MALAYSIA: Malaysia is a federal state that has a monarchy system of governance. It is comprised of 13
large states and 3 different federal territories. Its area is about 329,847 square kilometers. The Malaysian
land is divided into two parts, namely Malaysian Borneo and Peninsular Malaysia, between which the South
Malaysia borders Brunei, Thailand, and Indonesia. Its sea borders Singapore, Vietnam and the Philippines.
Kuala Lumpur is the capital of Malaysia.

CAMBODIA: During 2015 Cambodia population is projected to increased by 265 643 people and reach 15
900 885 in the beginning of 2016. The natural increase is expected to be positive, as the number of births
will exceed the number of deaths by 270 959. If external migration will remain on the previous year level,
the population will be declined by 5 316 due to the migration reasons. It means that amount of people who
leaves Cambodia to settle permanently in another country (emigrants) will prevail over the amount of people
who moves into the country (to which they are not native) in order to settle there as permanent residents
(immigrants)
BRUNEI: During 2015 Brunei Darussalam population is projected to increased by 7 426 people and reach
441 201 in the beginning of 2016. The natural increase is expected to be positive, as the number of births
will exceed the number of deaths by 6 298. If external migration will remain on the previous year level, the
population will be increased by 1 128 due to the migration reasons. It means that amount of people who
moves into Brunei Darussalam (to which they are not native) in order to settle there as permanent residents
(immigrants) will prevail over the amount of people who leaves the country to settle permanently in another
country (emigrants).
VIETNAM: During 2015 Vietnam population is projected to increased by 986 363 people and reach 92 655
796 in the beginning of 2016. The natural increase is expected to be positive, as the number of births will
exceed the number of deaths by 1 018 447. If external migration will remain on the previous year level, the
population will be declined by 32 084 due to the migration reasons. It means that amount of people who
leaves Vietnam to settle permanently in another country (emigrants) will prevail over the amount of people
who moves into the country (to which they are not native) in order to settle there as permanent residents
(immigrants).
SINGAPORE: During 2015 Singapore population is projected to increased by 44 531 people and reach 5
488 366 in the beginning of 2016. The natural increase is expected to be positive, as the number of births
will exceed the number of deaths by 19 326. If external migration will remain on the previous year level, the
population will be increased by 25 205 due to the migration reasons. It means that amount of people who
moves into Singapore (to which they are not native) in order to settle there as permanent residents
(immigrants) will prevail over the amount of people who leaves the country to settle permanently in another
country (emigrants).
LAOS: During 2015 Laos population is projected to increased by 117 665 people and reach 7 104 925 in the
beginning of 2016. The natural increase is expected to be positive, as the number of births will exceed the
number of deaths by 125 771. If external migration will remain on the previous year level, the population
will be declined by 8 105 due to the migration reasons. It means that amount of people who leaves Laos to
settle permanently in another country (emigrants) will prevail over the amount of people who moves into
the country (to which they are not native) in order to settle there as permanent residents (immigrants).
Myanmar: During 2015 Myanmar population is projected to increased by 591 137 people and reach 55 124
104 in the beginning of 2016. The natural increase is expected to be positive, as the number of births will
exceed the number of deaths by 608 043. If external migration will remain on the previous year level, the
population will be declined by 16 905 due to the migration reasons. It means that amount of people who
leaves Myanmar to settle permanently in another country (emigrants) will prevail over the amount of people
who moves into the country (to which they are not native) in order to settle there as permanent residents
(immigrants).
