Row 1: Dc in fourth ch from hook (3 skipped chs
count as first dc, now and throughout) and in next
8 chs, 2 dc in next ch, ch 1, 2 dc in next ch, dc in next
9 chs, 2 dc in next ch, ch 1, 2 dc in next ch, dc in next
21 chs, 2 dc in next ch, ch 1, 2 dc in next ch, dc in next
9 chs, 2 dc in next ch, ch 1, 2 dc in next ch, dc in last
10 chs: 75 dc and 4 ch-1 sps.
To work Shell, (2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc) in st or sp indicated.
Row 2 (Right side): Ch 3 (counts as first dc, now and
throughout), turn; dc in next dc and in each dc across
working Shell in each ch-1 sp: 91 dc.
Note: Mark last row as right side.
Row 3: Ch 3, turn; dc in next dc and in each dc across
working (dc, ch 1, dc) in each ch-1 sp: 99 dc.

Rnd 1: With right side facing and working in unworked
dc on Row 13 of Yoke, join yarn with slip st in first dc to
left of tacked ch-1 sps at underarm; ch 3, dc in same st,
ch 1, skip next 4 dc, H work Shell in next dc, ch 1, skip
next 5 dc, work Shell in next dc, ch 1, skip next 4 dc;
repeat from H around, 2 dc in same st as first dc, ch 1;
join with slip st to first dc: 9 Shells.
Rnd 2: Turn; slip st in first ch-1 sp, ch 3, dc in same
sp, ch 1, (work Shell in next Shell, ch 1) around, 2 dc in
same sp as first dc, ch 1; join with slip st to first dc.
Rnd 3: Turn; slip st in first ch-1 sp, ch 3, dc in same sp,
ch 2, work LSC, ch 2, H work Shell in next Shell, ch 2,

Rnds 8-15: Repeat Rnds 2-7 once, then repeat Rnds 2

Rnd 16: Turn; slip st in first ch-1 sp, ch 1, sc in same
sp, work Picot, (sc in next ch-2 sp, work Picot) twice,
H sc in next Shell, work Picot, (sc in next ch-2 sp, work
Picot) twice; repeat from H around; join with slip st to
first sc, finish off.
Repeat for second Sleeve.
Weave a one yard length of ribbon through ch-2 sps on
Row 2 of Body Edging along neck edge only, working
over LSC and under Shells.
On each Sleeve, weave an 18" length of ribbon through
ch-2 sps on Rnd 15, working over LSC and under Shells.
BONNET
CROWN
Ch 78 loosely.
Row 1 (Right side): Dc in fourth ch from hook and in
each ch across: 76 dc.
Note: Mark last row as right side.

EDGING
Rnd 1: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across to last sc, 3 sc
in last sc, sc in end of next 3 rows and in free loop of
each sc across Row 1 of Front Band, sc in end of next
3 rows, sc in same st as first sc; join with slip st to
first sc: 140 sc.
Rnd 2: Ch 1, turn; sc in same st, work Picot, skip next
sc, H sc in next sc, work Picot, skip next sc; repeat from
H around; join with slip st to first sc, finish off.
Sew one end of an 18" length of ribbon to one corner on
front of Bonnet; tie a 9" length of ribbon in a bow and
sew to corner.
Repeat for second corner.
CUFF
Rnd 1: With right side facing, join yarn with slip st in
same st as joining (at heel); ch 3, dc in next 13 dc, skip
first dc on Instep, dc in next 9 dc, skip next dc, dc in last
14 dc on Sides; join with slip st to first dc: 37 dc.
Rnd 2 (Eyelet rnd): Ch 4, skip next 2 dc, H dc in next
dc, ch 1, skip next dc; repeat from H around; join with
slip st to third ch of beginning ch-4: 18 ch-1 sps.
Rnd 3: Ch 2, dc in next ch-1 sp and in each dc and
each ch-1 sp around; skip ch-2 and join with slip st to
first dc: 35 dc.
Rnd 4: Ch 3, dc in same st, ch 1, skip next 4 dc,
H work Shell in next dc, ch 1, skip next 4 dc; repeat
from H around, 2 dc in same st as first dc, ch 1; join with
slip st to first dc: 7 Shells.
Rnd 5: Turn; slip st in first ch-1 sp, ch 3, dc in same
sp, ch 1, (work Shell in next Shell, ch 1) around, 2 dc in
