For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have
shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do
minister. - Hebrews 6:10.
Watashi wa kore o rikaidekinai riy! said the emperor frustrated. He had
just finished evaluating the income from his empire. He was a very wealthy
emperor with lots of money to do things with, but this emperor had no real hobbies
besides keeping up with his empire, but he did have a dream that he (and by he, I
mean others) had been working toward. You see the emperor had a big safe; a
vault or room really, and he wanted more than anything in the world to fill this safe
with precious jewels, gold, and expensive calligraphy and art. So the rich, greedy
emperor hired a skillful mathematician to help him find the way to make the
greatest profit in everything he did.
The mathematician locked himself away for a month to study and find the
way to make the most of a persons earnings. But after some studies he found that
his finding did not work. Shogani. the mathematician said to himself quietly and
went back to work.
One day the mathematician went to the emperors palace with a big smile.
He had found the answer, but the emperor was ready to take a big trip the next
morning and was too busy to stop and converse. He told the mathematician that he
would pay him double if he kept care of his empires finances and put his new
formula (which he hadnt heard) into practice while he was gone. Excited the
mathematician took on the new venture.
Months later the emperor returned to find that his possessions were gone!
He furiously went to see the incompetent mathematician to get an explanation. The
mathematician calmly explained what had happened. He gave the things away. To
people and to sensei and their schools. You see he analyzed the best ways to make
money and he realized that one person cannot make enough money on their own.
So he instead turned to others. He found he needed others to help achieve his
goals. So the conclusion was that helping others was the best way to get others to
benefit himself. Appalled and infuriated, the emperor stormed out desperate and
disappointed that he would lose his growing fortune to a mad-mans hare-brained
schemes. But as he was walking away disconsolately, he noticed the people (really
for the first time) were very excitedly walking up to him thanking him for his
generosity and asking to give things to him. Offering housing and other things and
mostly just their kindness and hospitality. They were even arguing over who was
going to help him first. Over the next couple days of going around, the findings
calculated. Wherever he went, he was met with great honor and people were
willing to help wherever they could. He realized that giving gave him much
more.
He managed to get even more businesses and services up and he noticed
that education in the kingdom was up because of the donation as well thus
furthering the reach and well-being of the society and its social structure. Now he

followed the mathematicians advice. No longer did he seek to store things in a

safe or anything like it. Now he shared his fortune among his new friends whose
hearts, lives, and educations had been converted into the safest vaults for his
riches he had ever known. He had now filled the biggest safe he could have ever
thought. fin.
Thank you for all of the donations that you donors pour out to us. God will
not forget all the good you do. Your safe is overflowing with the rich opportunities
that your giving provides. SDA Education is a special safe to me and I too want
to see it filled. And thanks to help from you it does. Arigato!
