East Timor

Hair removal
Another interesting point of culture is that it is duty for adult women ( from the age
of 15) in East Timor to remove all body hair (besides their head).
Cambodia
Divorce is legal and relatively easy to obtain, but not common.[4] Divorced persons
are viewed with some disapproval. Each spouse retains whatever property he or she
brought into the marriage, and jointly-acquired property is divided equally. Divorced
persons may remarry, but the woman must wait ten months. Custody of minor
children is usually given to the mother, and both parents continue to have an
obligation to contribute financially toward the rearing and education of the child.[4]
The divorced male doesn't have a waiting period before he can re-marry.[5]
In reality, the majority of "married" Cambodian couples did not obtain legal
marriage documents. This practice continues today. Couples have a ceremony and a
party. But they are not legally married. Therefore, when a couple separate, they
likewise need not obtain divorce documents. Tradition and custom have been
skewed by indoctrination and destruction of most wats during the period 19751979. At present there is variation in tradition from province to province. In Siem
Reap, it is widely understood, for example, that the man takes the first-born child
upon separation. Men who leave their families typically do not support their other
children, especially when they leave one woman for another woman. The new
woman and her family will not accept children from a previous relationship. This is
also an important source of the 70% or so of non orphans living in fake orphanages
around cities in Cambodia which are tourist focal points. Marriage is one of many
institutions in Cambodian society which is in dire need of reform.[6][7]

Thai

Throughout the country, the most important values that Thai people hold to
are respect, self-control, and a non-confrontational attitude. Losing face by
showing anger or by telling a lie is a source of great shame for Thai people.
In general, displays of emotion in public are viewed in a very negative light. No
matter how frustrated or upset a person might feel, he or she will always strive to
maintain a positive and friendly attitude, a sense of humor, and a smile.
Don't wear black to visit sick patients because black is a strict mourning color
in Thai culture. Also, you should not wear black to a joyful ceremony, like your
best friend's wedding. (When in doubt: Avoid black.)
If you hit anothers hand as you both reach out for food at the table, expect a
guest soon.
Don't pre-celebrate your birthday. You will only die sooner.
