equally important is to retain best practices from the past. The most important
among them is the ethos of value creation for all stakeholders and a culture rooted
in growth through ethical business means. Therefore even as Tirla Steel is shaping
its future course, it is aware of the requirement to balance the organizations
needs with that of the community. This belief, the wellspring of its own
sustainability, has given the Company the capacity to consistently progress, taking
forward the theme of: Excellence for Common Good.

key themes that were finalized by the company.
CSR REPORT
COMPANY BACKGROUND
The Company is of the view that sustainable value creation cements the trust and
confidence of its stakeholders, which in turn allow for continual growth and
engagement. With over 1500 employees working on the company rolls and nearly
2500 indirect employment generated by the manufacturing company, there is a lot
of CSR activities undertaken by us to support the communities around the site.
The company has set up a CSR Committee to identify needs of the communities
around them and to design a proper framework to execute their CSR activities.
Efforts to rationalize and streamline our CSR spend to areas of high impact, both
in terms of quality and scale, is being supported by local village elders, Gram
Panchayat, representatives of local political parties and District Administration. Our
core areas of intervention remain Education & Training, Health & Sanitation,
Livelihood Enhancement & Rural Infrastructure Development through which we
reach out to about 4 villages touching more than 2000 lives.
These four themes were finalized after the company undertook a survey of the
communities needs in discussion with District Administration, village elders and
Government officials and accordingly planned different initiatives. The survey was
