1 Scope
This Norm applies to all products, components, materials and preparations in addition to N 2580--1.

2 Prohibited and declarable substances


The table contains the substances that are mentioned and restricted in the following regulatory documents:
-- List of Declarable Materials in Automobile Manufacturing (VDA 232--101, as of 07.2002)
-- EC Directive on End of Life Vehicles (2000/53/EC, ELV)
-- EC Directive on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (2002/95/EG, RoHS)
and additional Bosch stipulations. Stipulations that are in addition to or differ from the VDA list are printed in
bold in the table.

The applicability defines the demands to be met for any delivery to Bosch. The applicability G is used for substances to be observed for all deliveries, substances with applicability A or E shall be observed when stipulated

3.1 Lead, applicability A; material restrictions according to ELV
3.1.1 Limit value for alloys

3.2 with high melting point (i.e. tin--lead solders alloys containing more than 85 % lead)

3.4 for network infrastructure equipment for switching, signaling transmission as well as network management
for telecommunications
4. Lead in electronic ceramic parts (e.g. piezo electronic devices)

3.3 Cadmium, applicability A; material restrictions according to ELV
