Flammable liquid and
vapor:

Produced clear flame when burning in air, and It is

invisible when daylight. It is decomposed at high
temperature to produce carbon monoxide and
formaldehyde

Toxic:

Harmful if inhaled, it enter body through skin and

mouth if swollen. May cause headache, dizziness,
drowsiness and incoordination. May cause severe vision
effect, blurred vision and sometime increase sensitivity
to light. Coma and death might result.

Potential health effect
Causes mild central nervous system depression with
nausea, headache, vomiting, dizziness and
incoordination. Metabolic acidosis and severe vision
effect occur following 8 to 24 hour latent period. Coma
and death due to failure respiratory system.
Moderate eye irritant.
In general, methanol is not considered irritant to skin.
Repeated or prolonged exposure to methanol may
cause dry, itchy and scaling skin.
Can be absorbed through skin
Harmful if swallowed. May causes blindness or fatal.
Aspiration hazard. May cause central nervous system
depression. Advanced stages may cause collapse,
unconsciousness, coma and possible death.
3.0 FIRST AID MEASURES
In case if the methanol spilled into the eyes
immediately flush eyes with plenty of water about 16
minutes then get medical aid.
In case of contact, immediately flush the skin with
plenty of water about 15 minutes while removing
contaminated clothes and shoes then get medical aid.
Wash the clothes before reuse.

immediately. Do not induce vomiting without medical
personnel.
If inhaled, remove to fresh air. If do not breathing, give
artificial respiration. Get medical aid.

clothing and wash before reuse it. Avoid contact with
eyes, skin and clothing. Empty containers retain
product residue because it can be dangerous. Keep
container tightly closed. Do not ingest or inhale. Do not
pressurize, cut, weld, braze, solder, drill, grind, or
expose heat, sparks and flames. Avoid use in confined
space. Avoid breathing vapor or mist
Keep away from heat, sparks and flames. Keep away
from sources of ignition. Store in a cool, dry, wellventilated area. Keep containers tightly closed.
