Possibilities offered by a unique hydrophobic dispersant

European Coatings Show Nremberg

April 2015

Unique hydrophobic dispersant

water resistance and much more
New paint formulations are required to meet low-VOC or 0-VOC regulations.
Associated risks are loosing in terms of film resistance against wet scrub, stain, early
rain, acid, alkali burn out
Possible impact on paint properties such as color acceptance and gloss
development

Such issues can be addressed thanks to the use of an efficient and hydrophobic
dispersing agent.

Scrub Resistance

5 liquid stains drops and 1 brushed solid stain are applied on the panels
After 2 hours, they are moved away by water rinsing and by tissue absorption
Using a scrub machine and 2% of washing powder solution, panels are brushed 200 times
and dried
Anti stain resistance is expressed as a score

E of paint with Coadis 123 K
all lower than 0.5,
Tinting strength of formulas with
Coadis 123 K is better.
