Course Objectives
This course is designed to enable learners to have exposure and experience in the process of system
development life cycle (SDLC) that involved systems planning, systems analysis, systems evaluation and
selection, systems design, systems conversion and implementation, as well as other systems development
approaches.
Course Learning Outcomes
Explain the role of accountants in the system development life cycle.
Explain and describe system development life cycle and its process.
Analyze effective approaches in developing an accounting information system.
Apply various approaches to develop an accounting information system.
Evaluate and use appropriate/relevant project management software.
Use database application.

This course will be conducted through problem based learning, computer lab sessions and tutorials.
Students are to actively participate in the PBL.
For computer lab work, students will study:
