appropriate actions (may include marks deduction).
3. Answer ALL questions and show your calculations clearly. Use 4 decimal
places as appropriate.
4. Report must be neatly written using A4 paper; soft copies are preferred.
5. The front cover for the report is as in the Appendix.

(iv) Refer to your answer in part (iii) and comment on the shape of the distribution. Is
there any extreme value (outlier) in your data?
(2 marks)
(v)
The shape of the histogram shows that it skewed to the right and the
outlier is the highest frequency which is 15.
Calculate a suitable central tendency measure, justify why it is suitable and interpret
its value.

Thus, 15 people pay the lowest price for air conditioner at range RM 1114.5 and
others 15 people is willing to pay more than RM 1114.5 for air conditioner.
Median is suitable to measure the data because median does not sensitive to
change in the data and not effect to the sample. After all median is the best way to
estimate the Centre of the histogram.

The histogram shows the represent data is right skewed shaped. Based on
the 30 people observation, only 15 people buy the air conditioner within
price range RM 759 until RM 1114 and it can conclude that income, the
quality of air conditioner and life style of someone maybe effect the
choices of buying low price of air conditioner and high price of air
conditioner.
Based on graph is also shown that only 4 people buy higher prices of air
conditioner in range RM 2539 to RM 2894 maybe it can conclude that they
have high income per month and they want the higher quality of air
conditioner.
