Vending Machine Wireless Management Solution

Based on 2G3G4G Industrial DTU

Abstract:
As a new convenience equipment, vending machines has gradually been accepted by
consumers. In recent years, people gradually realize that imperfect machine system: The
realtime operating status can not be monitoring in time, either or can not be timely
replenishment operation, which affect the normal operation of the machine, and take a
great inconvenience for operators and consumers great. To end this, it was proposed a
idea to conduct network to monitoring vending machine, by analyzing the
characteristics of wireless network communications and applications vending machine
for analysis, using combined with wireless data transmission module and a relational
database to build a wireless network remote vending machine monitoring system.Use of
the communication mode with C/S (Client/Server) architecture, to establish data
communication between the vending machine and the server, combination the wireless
module & embedded module as the client that is responsible for collecting the
operation data from vending machines; and then implement the message processing,
uses a database to store and query capabilities on central server, to realize the system of
historical data queries. On the basis of encapsulated the transmission data and
response measures, and designed a workflow system to achieve the stable
communication. By monitoring the end user interface, it will intuitive reflect the vending
machines status and sales volume, and not only provide more timely reference for
replenishment operation, but also facilitate the staff to realtime monitoring the
indicators of vending machines operating status.

System Architecture
Caimore vending machine wireless management system is consisted of vending machine,
industrial wireless DTU (SMS modem) and central server. Wherein, vending machine terminal
includes a read controller, electronic locks, and storage cabinet. People can purchase the required
goods at any time through vending machine. Caimore industrial wireless DTU series products can
built up a high speed; stable networking and data transmission channel by RS232/RS485 for vending
machine, and then transfers all the data back to enterprise cloud server by 2G/3G/4G network, so
that the enterprise can analysis the business and do some operation. Meanwhile, the operating
enterprise can remote supervised the running state of the vending machines, which are dispersed in
different locations, in order to reduce the cost of operation and maintenance.

using comprehensive TCP/IP protocol stack; so that network traffic performance shows
outstanding, the drop-line probability dramatically reduced.
