valvetoavoidvaporlockinheatexchangertrain.

Sofirstofallyouneedtoknowwhatthat7.3barconsistsof.Thatwillbemostlyfrictionalpressuredropofthelinestothe
storagetank,plusthestaticheightofthevacresinthatstoragetank.
Andmakesurethatyouknowwhatismeantbybar.Whetherthatisbarg(probably)orbara.

IfIassumethatthat7.3bargis6.0barfrictionalpressuredropplus1.3barstaticheight,thenthetotalfrictionalpressure
dropinyoursystem(fromvacuumcolumntostorage)is1.6+6.0=7.6bar.Andthestaticpressuredifferenceis(0+1.3)
(0.92+0.7)=1.5bar.

TakingcontrolvalvedeltaPas50%offrictionplus10%ofstaticwillgive:
0.5*7.6+0.1*1.5=4.0bar
whichisexactlywhatyoursmartclientalsoprescribed.

Todeterminethedischargepressureofanewpumprequiresdeterminingwhatthepressuredropoveritsnewcontrolvalve
shallbetohavepropercontrol.

Ifthistopicisaboutanexistingsystem,thenthecontrolvalvepressuredropresultsfromthepressurebalanceofthewhole
circuit.
