NATIONAL CHILDRENS MONTH

CELEBRATION
November 23, 2015

Maupay nga kulop ha iyo nga tanan!

A childrens smile is one of the most wonderful things that
one can ever see in this world. If there is one lasting purpose for
the celebration of the National Childrens Month, it is to remind
people of how precious and valuable each of these smiles is.
Sanglit dapat naton siguraduhon nga diri mapapara an
hiyum ha ira mga nawong kay ini an usa nga senyales nga an
aton kabataan nabubuhi nga malipayon, ngan waray kahadlukan
ha ira mga kasing-kasing. Dinhi, mas dako an ira higayon nga
madiskubre ngan ig-develop an ira tagsa-tagsa nga mga
potensyal.
Kun mayda man rason nga dapat naton buhaton ini, waray
Diri naton maigdidiwara nga ini nga mga kabataan nga aanhi
ha aton atubangan yana amo an masunod nga magdadara ngan
mamumuno ha aton nasud. An ira kabubwason, kabubwason
gihap naton. Amo ini an rason kun kay ano dapat hi kita nga
tanan magburublig ha pagsiguro nga an aton mga komunidad
hirayo ha pang-aabusar ngan pagtalapas ha ira katungod, nga
amo an pinakadako nga nakakaulang ha ira development.
In a place where their rights are honoured, children are free
to express their thoughts and feelings. To gain knowledge by

exploring the world around them. To develop themselves. To

discover their own identities. And lastly, to shape their own
future.
Let us always remember that the kind of future we gain will
depend on how we raise our children today. This brings to mind a
poem entitled Children Learn what they live, which goes like
this:
If children live with criticism, they learn to condemn.
If children live with hostility, they learn to fight.
If children live with fear, they learn to be apprehensive.
If children live with pity, they learn to feel sorry for themselves.
If children live with ridicule, they learn to feel shy.
If children live with jealousy, they learn to feel envy.
If children live with shame, they learn to feel guilty.
If children live with encouragement, they learn confidence.
If children live with tolerance, they learn patience.
If children live with praise, they learn appreciation.
If children live with acceptance, they learn to love.
If children live with approval, they learn to like themselves.
If children live with recognition, they learn it is good to have a goal.
If children live with sharing, they learn generosity.
If children live with honesty, they learn truthfulness.
If children live with fairness, they learn justice.
If children live with kindness and consideration, they learn respect.
If children live with security, they learn to have faith in themselves
and in those about them.
If children live with friendliness, they learn the world is a nice place
in which to live.

When children are loved and protected, they also give back
love in return along with appreciation, hope, trust and loyalty. If
they are raised in this kind of environment, this is the kind of
environment that they will aspire for in the future. This will be the

legacy that they will pass to succeeding generations. This is the

first step towards making the world a better place.
