1. Check the voltage of data retention battery.

If the voltage lowers than 3.0V, it means the batteries life is lower than
50%.
User should replace a new CR2450 battery. (This is preventing the device
come back again for maintenance in short period.
2. Check the data retention current of battery.
To measure retention current, user needs to make special probes for
multi-meter. (See below picture that series a 3V coin battery on the +
probe.)

Remove CR2450 battery

Use probe to measures retention current of CR2450 battery.


(For V5 the current should between 30~36uAFor V5S the current should
between 8~12uA )
*If the current of CR2450 is 0uA then user need to press Reset Key when
measure current. (This is caused by Super Capacitor still provides retention
current. To press Reset Key, please refer to Sensor Lock reset SOP )
*If the current of CR2450 is higher than 36uA then maybe CPU or SRAM is
fail.
*If the current of CR2450 is lower than 30uA then maybe have connection
problem in battery circuits.

Operating Description
If user had press F1key, but
cannot power on the Handset.
This maybe cause by
protection sensor had been
trigged.
User should reset the sensor to
recognize power on problem.
Below SOP show how to reset
the sensor.
1. Remove CR2450 battery
2. Unscrew 2 screws on GPRS
Module.
3. Move out GPRS Module.

4. Disconnect GPRS Antenna.

1. Find the Reset hole.
2. Use a nail (or paper clip) to
press Reset Button for 5
seconds.
3.Press F1key again, try to
power on Handset
4.Power on, it means sensor
was trigged.
If still cannot power on which
means have other circuit
problems.

Description
1. Insert SIM card to GPRS
Module
2. Press F2 to run Comm.
Test, when system in Test
Utility Function.
3. Press 7 to select GPRS test.
4. Press 1 to select internet.
5. If SIM card is working then
system show SIM1 ready
message.
6. If SIM card is absent then
system show SIM1 Not
ready message.
7. status: S:27 ( S number is
receive signal strength of
GSM base station), 27 means
-59dBm(see attached table)
8. R: 3(R number is show the
link status of GSM), 3 means
rejected by GSM base
station. (see below table)
9. If S number is higher than
10(-93 dbm) than the
Antenna is workable.
10. If S number is lower than
10, check if far away from
GSM station, otherwise user
should check GPRS Antenna.

performance without insert
SIM card.
