CHRISTMAS FLOWERS There will be a second collection NEXT weekend
for the flowers for Christmas. Our flower ladies who do the flowers each week
produce beautiful displays and work hard throughout the year. Please be as
generous as you can.
CHRISTMAS RAFFLE We will be selling raffle tickets after each Mass from THIS weekend until
Christmas to raise funds for the Parish. Prizes as follows : First prize : Christmas food hamper.
Second prize : Homemade Christmas Cake and Christmas Pudding. Third prize : Bottle of
Prosecco. The draw will take place after 9.30am Mass on Monday, 21st December.
DECEASED Please pray for Deacon Ted Connolly who died last week. Deacon Ted was a
Deacon in our Parish for many years before moving to live closer to his Son. Deacon Teds
Requiem Mass is on Wednesday, 16th December at 10.30am in St Peter & St John Church,
Caesar's Camp Road, Camberley, Surrey, GU15 4ED. If you wish to attend please let Yvonne
know as we are taking the minibus. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in
peace. Amen.

MASS CHANGE Please note there will be no Mass at 9.30am on Tuesday in Our Lady of
Peace, Mass will be at 7.00pm to mark the beginning of the Year of Mercy.
MARKING ADVENT There will be Mass in the Chapel at St Bernards School at 7.15am on
Friday, 11th and Friday, 18th December.
CHRISTMAS SERVICE TIMES a Lilac coloured leaflet is available which gives details of all the
Christmas Service times. Please take home a copy.
HELP AT THE CHRISTMAS MASSES Please sign up on the sheets which will be at the back
of the Church from next weekend. Readers, Extraordinary Ministers, welcomers, ushers, and
collectors are needed. We will have a separate list for altar servers in the Sacristy, please check
which Mass you will be attending before you sign up. The Midnight Mass and the 6.00pm
childrens Mass are always very busy so any help offered will be very much appreciated.
CHILDREN'S LITURGY CHRISTMAS DAY All children are invited to come to Christmas Day
Mass at St Andrews, at 11.30am, dressed as angels, kings, Mary, Joseph or shepherds.
Parents will provide nibbles after Mass, all welcome to share in Christmas Day cheer after Mass.
ADVENT BOOKS copies of Walk with Me for the Year of Mercy, a journey of prayer for Advent
and Christmastide, and My Day by Day Infant and Junior Advent books are available from the
Church porches, priced 1 each.
OUR LADY OF PEACE CHILDREN'S LITURGY 9.45AM MASS All children aged 4-7 are
warmly invited to come along and listen to the Gospel adapted to their level with reflection and

VACANCY DIRECTOR OF SCHOOL DEVELOPMENT This vacancy is a rare opportunity to


join the NORES Service, which supports Catholic education and formation in the Northampton
Diocese. Initially the key focus of the Director of School Development will be the academisation
of our schools. We are looking for a strong candidate who has the skills to guide our schools
through this time of change and help establish the strategy going forward. The NORES office is
based in Luton, however travel will be necessary so access to your own vehicle and a full UK
driving licence is required. Full information for the position and an application form can be

OPENING JUBILEE YEAR OF MERCY Forty Hours Adoration at Polish Church of Divine Mercy,
Slough on Saturday, 5th December from 6.00pm to Sunday, 6th December 7.00am then on
Sunday, 6th December from 6.00pm to Monday, 7th December at 10.00pm. All welcome to
come and spend time with Jesus, our Saviour.
PARISH PASTORAL COUNCIL meet on Monday, 7th December at 7.30pm in the Sacristy.
ADVENT RECONCILIATION SERVICE To mark the beginning of the Year of Mercy, we will be
having a celebration Mass at Our Lady of Peace on Tuesday, 8th December at 7.00pm followed
immediately by an opportunity for the Sacrament of Reconciliation with visiting priests.
FIRE & LIGHT Wednesday, 9th December, 8.00-9.30pm, with Cor et Lumen Christi Community at
Salesian School, Highfield Road, Chertsey, KT16 8BX. Praise and worship before the Blessed
Sacrament with continuous prayer ministry. All welcome to come along and get soaked in the love
of God. If you would like to share transport then please contact Fr Andy.
MY EXPERIENCE OF THE SYNOD Bishop Peter shares his impressions of the Synod on the
Family, which he attended in October, and his thoughts on what this event means for our
Diocese, and what he asks of us now. It will be on Wednesday, 9th December at 7.30pm at St
Augustines Parish, Langcliffe Drive, Milton Keynes, MK13 7PL. Tea and coffee from 7.00pm.
All welcome.
ST ANDREW'S Christmas Fair. Saturday 12th December 10am-1.00pm. Plenty of stalls including
Tombola, Raffle and Coffee and snacks. There are stalls to be hired for 10 per table. Please

SPIRIT AND LIGHT WORSHIP evening will be held at St Andrews on Tuesday, 15th December
at 8.00pm. The evening, led by Fr Andy, will begin with a teaching and a reflection followed by
praise and prayer. All welcome.
CHRISTMAS CHURCH CLEANING This will take place on Saturday, 19th December at 9.00am.
Please come along and try and spare an hour to help clean the Church in preparation for our
Christmas services. Mince pies and tea/coffee will be supplied!!
