Note:
1. Nitric oxide
Terminal units for nitric oxide may be required as a project team option in intensive therapy units and
neonatal units in exceptional cirumtances, nitric oxide may be required in operating departments.
The level of provision would be two terminal units for each cot ot=r bed space, and two terminal units
per theatre.
2. Oxygen/carbon dioxide mixtures
Terminal units for oxygen/carbon dioxide mixtures may be required as a project team option theatres
in cardio - thoracic theatres and in oncology units.
