TECHNICAL SKILLS
Printing; have been trained and operated professional printers in various degrees of
size and complexity in order to obtain maximum production according to established
quality standards. Responsibilities: Ensured that production goals were met. Obtained
and maintains register during the make-ready and productions processes. Assists in
changing required plates, cylinders. Assists in setting fold, tension and guide devices.
Adheres to and promotes all safety policies and procedures including, but not limited
to the proper handling of hazardous waste, lock out - tag out rules and hearing and
eye protection policies. Performs other related duties and participates in special

At ADI, I was trained and became proficient in the operation of the A.B.Dick 9840 with a T-
Head (two color press). My responsibilities included running many types of print for
letterhead, envelope, business cards, flyers, brochures, etc on this system. I also operated the
tow motor, pallet jack, cutters and stitchers for special needs. Finally within my job scope I
handled packing, shipping and receiving materials.
As head pressroom operator I operated and maintained the A.B. Dick 9810 Printing Press
which was used for chain delivery, plate making, cutting and folding. I was the single press
operator on my floor and was responsible for the majority of work and projects in my
department.
10/1999-6/2001 Pressman
As pressman I operated an AB360 with a virco-type heater, specialized for raised print. I was
well-trained in all aspects of printing formal invitations, including wedding, graduation, and
all type of celebrations, as well as business brochures and needs. I was familiar with all
processes and quality needs excelling at these tasks to provide optimum efficiency in my role.

As 3rd shift supervisor my main focus was preparing all machinery and equipment for the start
and end of the shift. Other duties included cleaning of all machines, spray booths, guns and
equipment used in the department. I also gained experience in the lacquer process at the
plant.

While on active duty with the USAF I was trained and qualified as a flight mechanic. I
specialized in the repair and support of equipment used on planes such as B-52 bomber and
KC-BJ Tanker. I received certification on many types of equipment run by gas, diesel and
turbine engines.
