Dear David & Andrea,

At Rivermont we are blessed to see great things happening in the life of our congregation, not only here at home, but
also through our many mission partners serving all across the globe. It is humbling to be part of a church that continually
supports and exhibits passion for this work.

Philippians 2:9-11 says "Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the
name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the
glory of God the Father." Through these verses, we are shown that there is nothing apart from Himself that is worthy of our
praise and adoration. We have been given this wonderful truth, and now the Lord has presented twelve members of
Rivermont with the opportunity to share it with the people of East Africa.

God has placed a call on the heart of each team member to travel nearly 15,000 miles to minister in two countries in East
Africa June 14-28. Working with our mission partner, Sports Outreach Institute, team members will be actively involved
in ministry opportunities in Nairobi, Kenya; and Kampala and Gulu, Uganda. This ministry team will be exposed to
sports ministry methodology as well as care and treatment of severely traumatized children. The group will participate in
on-going feeding programs in slums, juvenile centers and local churches. The team will also be involved in the dedication
ceremony of the Good News Community Center Joseph & Mary Spencer Chapel in Gulu, Uganda. Team members are also
working to prepare three specific training programs to provide practical and sustainable techniques in Compassion
Ministries, Teaching Methodology for Children, and Property Maintenance for the Sports Outreach staff.

While God has opened up a door for this team to develop a greater heart of compassion for His people around the
world, the exciting part is that you will be able to share in this compassion, too. First, you can become a prayer
warrior, praying for each team member. We covet your prayers that God will prepare us for our visit and bless our
efforts as we minister to the people of Africa. Please also pray that our financial needs will be met. The cost for each
team member is nearly $3500 to participate in this mission, and, for some, that is a challenge.

As you are able and feel led by the Holy Spirit, would you consider supporting this team financially? We hope
to raise enough support to cover one-third of the cost of this trip for several of our team members – a total of
approximately $8,000. Funds raised in excess of this total will be applied to other expenses directly related to this
mission. If you are able to contribute, simply make out a check, payable to Rivermont EPC, and designate “Africa
Mission Team” in the memo line.

Whether you feel led to contribute financially, through prayer, or both, your support is deeply appreciated. We are
grateful to God for allowing us to be representatives of Rivermont Evangelical Presbyterian Church to the people of
Africa.

Grace and Peace,
