Best practice recommendations prior to start of


upgrade
Take a count of registered phones before the start of the

upgrade and compare after the upgrade


Upgrade the phone firmware prior to the CUCM upgrade to

save time.
Open the firewall ports for CUCM 9.X that have changed
Check for a full DRS backup success
Perform standard tests before the start of the upgrade
