The Speech delivered by Nai Pe Thein Zar Patron of
Mon National Democratic Front (LA)
Ladies and Gentlemen:
It is a great honour for me to be able to take part in this
historical moment in our history. On behalf of Mon People, on behalf of Mon National Democratic Front I fully support the decision of NLD to denounce the Military Junta Election Laws and to boycott the election. Strongly I condemn the regime’s undemocratic election laws released on March 8, 2010 and see them just an implement to legalize the Military Junta forever as the ruler of the country. This election laws will only serve to legitimize a military selection which will in no way be reflecting the genuine will of People of Burma.
In Rangoon, the leadership of MNDF Nai Ngwe Thein, Nai
Tun Thein, and Dr. Nai Soe Lin have already disapproved the SPDC by denouncing undemocratic Constitution from the very beginning. Recently General Secretary of MNDF, Dr. Nai Soe Lin again openly denounces the SPDC election laws and bravely announces boycotts the coming election. Furthermore the New Mon State Party the armed resistance force which represents the Mon People also strongly condemns the military regime’s undemocratic election laws and bluntly rejects the SPDC proposal to transform its armed force into Border Guard Force. Honestly I appreciate NMSP’s decision and praise the courage of its leaders. I, as patron of Mon National Democratic Front (LA), take this opportunity to praise Daw A:ung San Su Kyi, Kun Tun OO, Sai Say Htin, Min Ko Naing, Min Zaya and others who have been in the jail for their political conscience and their outspokenness against the Military Junta.
Ladies and Gentlemen:I am so proud to be here with you,
with the people who love the country, who love democracy, who love human rights. Above all who hate the dictatorship! This year is a critical year, this time is a critical time, as we are going to decide the fate of dictators of Burma. Their fate is at the mercy of our hands. Their last days are counting. The time is very limited for them whether to handover the state power peacefully to the real owner, the people of Burma, or to be punished severely by the public at last for their unreasonable stubbornness. They are just criminals, who killed the innocent Baddish Monks, Students, and civilians. They are just unlawful gang which, by force, seized the state power from the public, from us. They are just unauthorised person who illegally rule the country. We have absolute right to claim our fundamental right to be ruled by our own will. We don’t want, the people of Burma, Mon, Myanmar, Shan, Karen, Karenni and Kachin etc etc don’t want to be ruled forcibly against their own will by the Military Junta.
Ladies and Gentlemen:It is the decisive moment and the
last stage of our battle against the dictators. Surely we will win; surely, we can wipe out the dictatorship totally out of our land. Be together, be united we surely will win this battle.
Thank you, Thank so much to everyone!
