EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
A Brochure is a pamphlet or catalogue that is used to pass information about something.
Brochures are advertising pieces mainly used to introduce a company or organization and inform
about products and/or services to a target audience. Brochures are distributed by radio, handed
personally. They may be considered as grey literature. They are usually present near tourist
attractions. The most common types of single-sheet brochures are the bi-fold (a single sheet
printed on both sides and folded into halves) and the tri-fold (the same, but folded into thirds). A
bi-fold brochure results in four panels (two panels on each side), while a tri-fold results in six
panels (three panels on each side).
Other folder arrangements are possible: the accordion or "z-fold" method, the "c-fold" method,
etc. Larger sheets, such as those with detailed maps or expansive photo spreads, are folded into
four, five, or six panels. When two card fascia are affixed to the outer panels of the z-folded
brochure, it is commonly known as a "z-card". Booklet brochures are made of multiple sheets
most often saddle stitched, stapled on the creased edge, or perfect bound like a paperback book,
and result in eight panels or more.
However, this brochure is accompanied with certain limitations which are as follows:
Thus to overcome these limitations of traditional brochures, a need for a better solution arises
and as the technology has advanced, the solution comes in the form of an Interactive Brochure
App. Benefits provided by interactive brochure are as follows:
Therefore, Interactive Brochure App provides quality solution to the customer and increase
productivity.

THEORITICAL FRAMEWORK
Interactive Brochure Mobile App: Overview
As the world is stepping up in technology brochure is also transformed from printed to the
interactive mobile app. Interactive brochure app is the approach which bring the brochure into
the new world of technology.
Traditionally the printed brochure is the basic approach for making the brochure of the product
but, It consist some limitations in it:
To overcome these limitations, printed brochure transformed into the pdf format which is the
part of the 2nd generation but it still have a few limitations:
3rd generation brought the major change in the brochure. 3rd generation introduced the e-brochure
i.e. (internet brochure) into the market. e-brochure overcomes all the limitations but still it has
one shortcoming. which is the use of the desktop computer (Personal Computer) for e brochure
one has to use desktop computer always for seeing the brochure of the companies.
Interactive Brochure Mobile App overcomes all the limitations and as we know the number of
mobile user in the world is increasing day by day. In the table below shows the various app user

It is very much clear that 13% of the activities performed by the Smartphone users in India, is
using the apps .While in the other countries this percentage is comparatively quite high. So we
can target our country according to the details which are provided.
It is even more surprising to note that earlier this percentage was very less as less number of
people had access to smart phones and the mobile apps available were not customer friendly.
But, now- a-days majority of the people have access to smart phones and all they need is a
customer friendly mobile app. Keeping in view this market scenario, an Interactive brochure app
will definitely provide immense satisfaction to the customers.

Tablets and smart phones have revolutionized the way people read so it's time to publish your
catalogues and brochures on app stores. The tablet publishing provides benefits to both the endusers and the publishers, proving the worth of the publishing activities. The comparison of the
approaches followed in the paper based activities as well as mobile based activities in shown in
the figure .
Therefore, it's a great new era for businesses who can now reach a global market without
the costs and limitations of print and post.

In Marketing Management, the term Go-To-Market strategy refers to the set of integrated
tactics which a company will use to connect with its customers/business and the
organizational processes it develops (such as pricing and contracting) to guide customer
interactions from initial contact through fulfillment.
A firm's Go-To-Market strategy is the mechanism by which they propose to deliver their
unique value proposition to their target market. That value proposition is based on the
choices the business has made to focus on and its investments in markets and solutions that
they believe will respond positively to the increased attention.
A Go-To-Market strategy usually involves answering 5 key questions:
Promotion Methods used for promoting the interactive brochure app is Digital Marketing.
Page
20
In This Project, E-mail Marketing has been used as a tool for Digital Marketing :
E-mailing method includes generating a list of the email ids of all the potential
customers that might be interested in the service, this can be done by using some of the
data collection sources available on the internet and then creating a mailer campaign,
which allows mails to be sent in bulk to all the email ids. These mails should contain a
brief description of the service provided by the website and a link to the website.
Then the response to the mails should be tracked and all the potential customers should
be provided with a quick tracking.
E-mail marketing is a good marketing strategy but is only helpful if a small target and a
specific target of customers need to be contacted if a bulk and not very specific group of
people are the target then this strategy will not be very helpful.

The mail consisting of the newsletter for the sale of interactive brochure app has been
sent to exporters on their email addresses that have been collected during the data
collection stage. The mails have been sent through a mailer that has been purchased by
Pariksha Labs from Amazon, known as amazonses.com.
Amazonses.com is a tool used for data analysis which can be used to send large amount
of e-mails at a particular time. However, it comes with a limitation that not more than a
few thousand mails can be sent in one particular day. But, ignoring this limitation, this
tool is very effective in analyzing the reliability & validity of the data so collected. Apart
from sending mails, it can also be used to generate reports on the basis of the mail
recently sent.
After sending the mails through amazonses.com, the generated reports convey the exact
number of customers clicking on the link provided in the newsletter along with their
details. It provides the information regarding the number of customers opening the mail,
the number of customers unsubscribing from receiving future mails as well as the
customers who have marked the mail as a spam. Therefore, the tool amazonses.com is
very helpful in pitching the target customers.

PRIMARY DATA
Data observed or collected directly from the first-hand experience or we can say primary
data are originated by a researcher for the specific purpose of addressing the problem at
hand.
SOURCES OF PRIMARY DATA
Social networking websites like Facebook , twitter , LinkedIn, are also sources in data
gathering.
SECONDARY DATA
Secondary data are data which have already been collected for purposes other than the
problem at hand. These data can be located quickly and inexpensively.
SOURCES OF SECONDARY DATA

Number of recipients
Number of recipients who have opened the mail
Number of recipients who have still not opened the mail
Number of recipients who have unsubscribed from receiving such mails in future
Number of recipients who have clicked on the link provided in the mail (so as to have a
detailed look at our services & offerings. These are the recipients that are to be targeted
by us as they seem to be interested in our product.
Number of mails that have been bounced (Bouncing of mails is both inevitable &
unavoidable as it takes place under circumstances beyond the human control. However,
only a certain percentage of bounced mails is considered to be natural after which the
tool, amazonses.com, blocks the mailer from further use.)
This report is very useful in analyzing the data collected as well as it helps to govern our
future course of action (follow-up).

CONCLUSION
As the statically data says that mobile application user will increase to 4.4 Billion till 2017 hence
the interactive brochure application has the huge scope to overcome the traditional printed
brochure promotion approach.
The expected conclusion of this report is made on the basis of the difference between Printed
Brochure and the Interactive Brochure Mobile Application:
Printed Brochures
Unit cost is high
Interactive Brochure
Save money and time
Costly to distribute
Page
49
Companies are very few so comparative analysis of the product is very difficult.
Decisions on product pricing are very difficult.
Lack of awareness leads to delay in response from the customer about the brochure
mobile application.
Data gathered from the secondary sources is not a concrete data.
Secondary data is not a reliable data.
Specifications cant be same all the time in the product because it depends on the
customer requirement. So maintaining the standard price of the product is difficult.
Traditional techniques in gathering the primary data are not feasible because awareness
of the brochure among the people is very less.
Targeted companies are only those which are using brochure for their product.
Older generation are not ready to opt new technology easily
Spreading the information about the interactive brochure application is very important in
the business expansion.
Free demo of interactive brochure required.
Pariksha Labs should concentrate on digital as well traditional techniques of marketing.
Pariksha Labs are to invest more capital in the marketing of their new product.
