Image guidelines
There are three kinds of image formats that can be used in the document: JPEG,
PNG, or BMP

JPEG
A commonly used image
format, we find this image
format on most of the
websites.
JPEG images are apt for
high-resolution printing.

The quality of the image
gets poorer with decreasing
file size.

PNG
Supports high level of
lossless compression, which
means you can edit them
and not lose quality.
Are mostly apt for websites
as they are not printerfriendly.
Use for illustrations,
screenshots, graphs and
logos.

Bitmaps (BMP)
Stores single raster image
in any colour depth, from
black and white to 24-bit
color.
Compatible with Microsoft
Windows program
Has larger file type because
of no compression.
