JUDICIAL AFFIDAVIT
OF GEORGE LAGO
The following is the Judicial Affidavit of GEORGE LAGO.
The examination of this witness is conducted by ATTY.
ALMAN-NAJAR NAMLA in his office address at La Purisima
Street, Zamboanga City. The witness shall be testifying in the
English language, although she will answer in a combination
of English and Pilipino. She is answering the questions asked
from him, fully conscious that he does so under oath, and
that he may face criminal liability for false testimony or
perjury;
PURPOSE: This affidavit/testimony of the Security Guard
on Duty - GEORGE LAGO is offered to corroborate the
defense of PEDRO SAN JUAN, that he could not have
committed the said crime as he was in the office for the
whole afternoon of Tuesday, December 1, 2015.
ATTY NAMLA: Please state your name, age, status,
address, and occupation.
GEORGE LAGO: I am GEORGE LAGO, of legal age,
single, a resident of Sta. Maria, Zamboanga City, and a
security guard.
Q. Do you swear to tell the truth and nothing but the
truth so help you God?
A. Yes, I do.

Q1. Are you going to answer the questions asked of you

fully conscious that do so under oath, and that you may face
criminal liability for false testimony or perjury?
A1. Yes.
Q2. So you said you are a security guard. Where and
when is your post?
A2. My post is at PAG-IBIG Zamboanga Branch. My duty
is from 7am to 7pm Monday to Wednesday.
Q3. How long have you been manning that post?
A3. I have been working there for 2 weeks now.
Q4. What are the tasks that you have been detailed to
do in your post?
A4. I am tasked to secure the vehicle entrance gate
which is also the exit gate. To only open the gate for vehicles
of employees and to log their parking times in the parking
log for security purposes.
I am also tasked to monitor the logging in and out of
employees from the TAAPS or Bundy Clock. I am tasked to
ensure that the employees properly log-in by using the
biometrics scanner of the bundy clock.
Q5: You are aware that you are testifying as a witness
for a criminal case filed against PEDRO SAN JUAN. Do you
know the accused in this case?
A5. Yes sir. He is PEDRO SAN JUAN. The general
manager of
PAG-IBIG Zamboanga Branch.
Q6. You said you have been guarding that post for 2
weeks now, when did you start?
A6. I started at the beginning of this month. December
1, 2015.
Q7. What happened on that day during your duty?
A7. I started my first day of work at PAG-IBIG very early
in the morning at 7 AM. I came as relief for the previous
guard on the 7pm to 7am shift. I started logging in entries of
officials vehicles coming in. I remember a Toyota Innova

coming in at 8 am. After he came in and parked, the driver

came out, he was a tall man wearing formal attire,
later I knew he was the General Manager, Pedro San Juan. I
looked as he punched his thumb for the biometrics scan. And
then went to the entrance door of the building.
Q8. What else happened?
A8. I also logged in the entry of other official vehicles, a
Montero, an Isuzu MU-X, a Mitsubishi Lancer among others. I
also logged out some of them as they left the premises.
Q9. What happened next to the other cars?
A9. The other cars left in the afternoon except one who
left in the evening.
Q10. Which car and whose car was left?
A10. It was the car of Sir Pedro.
Q11. What made you say that it was the only car left?
A11. Out of the few cars I logged in It was the only car
left at 6:40 pm. I thought to myself, it was the car owned by
the tall man.
Q12. What happened next?
A12. The car left at 6:45 PM after he logged out from
the bundy clock which I closely looked at. Mr. Pedro then bid
farewell and went on to his car. He was nice enough to even
lower his window and wave at me as he went through the
exit gate.
Q13. How can you prove such event?
A13. I put the car log out time in the parking log.
Q13. If you see a log book, would you be able to
identify it?
A13. Yes.

a copy
of which is attached here in as Exhibit 3)
Q14. What relation does this logbook have to your
testimony?
A14. This is the very logbook I used on the first day of
work in logging in the parking of official vehicles.
Q15. How do you know that it is the very same
logbook?

A15. It has the word Pag-ibig on it which is clearly the

same logbook I used and it also has my writing.
Q16. Is there anything else you would like to add?
A16. None, as of the moment.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand
