EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
INVITATION OF EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI) FOR
DEVELOPMENT OF HYDROPOWER PROJECTS
Government of the Punjab (the GoPb) is pursuing the development of small hydropower
projects through Private sector investment in IPP mode under Punjab Power Generation
Policy2006 (Revised2009) (the Policy). Pursuant to Policy, Punjab Power Development
Board (PPDB) invites EOIs from firms / consortium for development of following Raw Sites
Hydropower Projects (the HPPs):

Notes:
1.

Interested parties are requested to submit their Statement of Qualification (SOQ) on the
Performa to be purchased from the office of undersigned.

2.

Interested company / consortium will get themselves registered with the Punjab Power
Development Board on payment of US $100/- or equivalent Pak Rupees as Registration
Fee. Already registered companies are eligible.

3.

The Registered Sponsors may purchase Pre-Qualification Document (PQD) for the site of
choice, one each for selected site, on payment of US $1000/- or equivalent Pak Rupees
from the office of undersigned, to be submitted duly filled in to PPDB prior to dead line.

4.

Each PQD will be evaluated and the Sponsor obtaining highest Qualifying Score will be
issued LOI to conduct feasibility study for development of the project in accordance with
the provision of the Punjab Power Generation Policy 2006 Revised 2009. Decision of
Punjab Power Development Board regarding award of Sites will be final.

5.

A feasibility study completion period of four (4) months will be allowed for sites at Sr.
No. 1,3,4,5,6,7,8,10 and 11. The available information and earlier work done on these
sites will be shared with the Sponsor, free of cost, with award of LOI.

6.

A feasibility study completion period of nine (9) months as per Policy will be allowed for
sites at Sr. No. 2 and 9

Deadline for SOQ submission is 17th June 2015
