of God, and he shall lift you up.”
• Matthew 23.12 “ And whosoever shall exalt
himself shall be abased; and he that shall
humble himself shall be exalted.”
• 1 Peter 5.6 “ Humble yourselves therefore
under the mighty hand of God, that he may
exalt you in due time.”

• 1 Peter 5b “ for God resisteth the
proud, and giveth grace to the humble.”
• James 4.5,6 “ Do ye think that the
scripture saith in vain, The spirit that
dwelleth in us lusteth to envy? But he
giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith,
God resisteth the proud, but giveth
grace unto the humble.”

• Humility: A place of submission, giving
control to God by yielding to His Spirit.
• Humility opens the door for Grace
• Grace is the means by which we attain
holiness or holy living. Conscience
functions inside of Grace, an
impartation from God.

• Grace defined,
• Philippians 2.12,13 “ Wherefore, my
beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not
as in my presence only, but now much
more in my absence, work out your own
salvation with fear and trembling. For it
is God which worketh in you both to will
and to do of His good pleasure.”

• What then is the problem ?
• Pride will not let you agree with the
image that God is showing you.
• Pride will argue with the definition of
Grace
• Pride will keep you double minded
• Pride will cause God to resist you

into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he
asked his disciples saying, Whom do men
say that I the Son of man am?
• And they said, some say that thou art John
the Baptist: some , Elias; and others,
Jeremias, or one of the prophets.
• He saith unto them, But whom say ye that

• Vs. 4 “ Then answered Peter, and said unto
Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: it
fhou wilt, let us make here three
tabernacles; one for thee, and one for
Moses, and one for Elias.
• While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud
overshadowed them: and behold a voice
out of the cloud, which said, This is my
beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased;
hear ye him.
